Marketing - that should be enough to send people to sleep. If you're still awake, involved in Internet marketing - built a social media following of 2 million people. Short story... semi-retired.

Yup. I worked in a factory when I was 19 during the college years and promised myself I'd never do it again. That was enough to scare the Bejesus out of doing something like that for a living.

I climbed into bed and heard the mattress say 'Ohh big boy, slide in here and I'll keep you warm'.

It was a camp bed.

If I'm being too nosy, just ignore this comment. Have they told you how long you have left and have you put your name down for any trials going? People have been told they have months and lasted years, so don't take what they say as gospel.

First off deepest sympathy for your situation and pray your terminal diagnosis is an error.
I retired at 50 because neither of my grandfathers or my dad got past 70. I decided I didn’t want to work until 65 and then maybe get 5 years. Best decision I ever made. Wake up every morning a free man and I’m never bored.

My Dad was 69 when he passed away
2nd Eldest Brother only 57 when the big C got him.

That prompted one brother to retire at 55 and I finished at 58...

I scared the postman today by going to the door completely naked. I'm not sure what scared him more. My naked body or the fact I knew where he lived.

Worked as an accountant for 28 years and 12 years ago gave it up to became a self employed foreign student organiser. Best move I ever made as we work 24/7 for 9 months of the year then have 3 months off !! Also do bookkeeping for a student hotel in Hastings and do tours of Whitstable for those groups that want to book me.

No mate your not being nosy, they gave me 6 months that was Oct/2017 so its onward at the moment i am on a trial drug and its that what is keeping me going.
The oncologists that I have seen and i have seen a few they said we can keep it at bay but it will eventually the inevitable will happen they cant operate to remove the tumours which are in my liver bowel and right lung.

Then let's keep it at bay. No doubt you're already doing this, but put your name down for any trial going. You just never know, the next drug you have could be the cure.

How have you been feeling since October 2017? Do you feel the same as you were back then?

What i meant is i am ill and i can not work again if i could work i would not have this illness thats what I was getting at and people that dont show any initiative to work i cant understand that

No mate back then i went from 15 stone down to 9 stone now i am back up to 12 and a half stone so the trial drug is doing its job for now

Get that. I’m truly sorry for your plight but as you've said earlier, given 6months in Oct17, I hope you’ve nailed it.
BTW. I wanted to retire to Spain but the pull of the grandkids was too much for Mrs Trevor.

And it goes without saying, if there's anything I can do, give me a shout.
