There hasn't been one for a whole month now and the seasonal 17% of draws is the lowest since 1905.

The last one was B'mouth Vs Newcastle.

All about winning these days, certainly not the pools though.

This is one of the reasons we will stay up and for the next few in my view. There are too many bad defences in this lwague which cant keep clean sheets. We are one of the few that can keep a clean sheet so we always have a chance of coming away with a 0-0. Brighton were one last year but this they have lost too many points by not being able to keep clean sheets.

It should be worth noting that although that was the case last season, this season there are only 4 worse defences in the PL than us and 3 of them are in the bottom 3, the other is Bournemouth who we have scored 7 against, thus contributing to that figure (and they've only conceded 1 more than us). Having said that, to be fair, even this season 23.5% of our league games have been clean sheets , our poor defensive record comes from getting hammered by the likes of City, Chelsea and Everton (who coincidentally are 3 of our last 4 opponents this season). Food for thought I suppose.

Surprisingly (to me anyway), Bournemouth and Cardiff have both kept more clean sheets than us.

Thinking positively, Hart conceded 41 goals in 19 starts whereas Tom has only conceded 19 in his 15. I'm not going to say that Hart was solely responsible for the no. of goals conceded - but I think we are in much better shape now and moving forward.

And we scored in all 4 games and kept 2 clean sheets in these 4

It just goes to show what people often say - stats are pretty meaningless and as someone on the radio was saying the other day, the only stat that matters at all is the number of goals scored. Shots on target are useless if they don't go in. Posession is meaningless as we have proved so often over the last 3 seasons. Corners are useless if they come to nothing. As I have always said it is hilarious to me when managers say after a game 'we did enough to win' when they have just lost or drawn. The fact is Mr Manager no, you clearly haven't.

All good fun eh?
