Re: Tonight's UCL Footy
I've never been so invested in a non Burnley game with two teams that I don't care who wins or loses. This is proper neutral football at it's bestest.

I've seen people complain about VAR, but tonight it's added to the emotions in a good way.

Re: Tonight's UCL Footy
I think Shearer's drunk: "It has definitely hit his arm first and then onto his hip so I didn't think that goal would have stood."

Re: Tonight's UCL Footy
What the hell is the handball rule? Peter Walton said that you can’t score a goal using your arm - he also said that it doesn’t hit Llorrente’s arm which it very clearly does. If you can’t score a goal with your arm then how the hell can the ref allow that goal? Madness.

Re: Tonight's UCL Footy
Did it? I'm not sure it hit his arm? Not life or death sure anyway. I thought it might have hit the defenders arm last?Rileybobs wrote:What the hell is the handball rule? Re: Tonight's UCL Footy
Clearly hits Llorrente’s arm before his hip. One angle shows it better than the other but the other one shows his arm ripple on contact.duncandisorderly wrote:Did it? I'm not sure it hit his arm? Not life or death sure anyway. I thought it might have hit the defenders arm last?

Re: Tonight's UCL Footy
Will Pep still be there to go on another spending spree,IF they go out tonight, and then don't win the PL,the 2 domestic cups don't justify the money ploughed into this City squad.Darthlaw wrote:And the sheikh’s bank shares fall again as they anticipate another Pep spending spree in the summer...
His CL record isn't great since leaving Barca either, the powers that be might fancy a change,i doubt it but in football you never know.

Re: Tonight's UCL Footy
Fair enough if that's the case, I watched the replays but didn't spot it. But regarding your first question, until next season then deliberate handball is still the rule, no? It's only next year isn't it that you can't score a goal with a hand?Rileybobs wrote:Clearly hits Llorrente’s arm before his hip.
