Lancs finest.

Post by fatboy47 » Thu Apr 18, 2019 5:19 pm

Into the second week of my annual "progress" through the land, and only today have I finally managed to score a 4lb slab of good Lancashire cheese. Crumbly, and not polythene wrapped, obviously...From Bury market, as it happens.

All round the south and south-west I've been finding the big retailers stocked up with pretentious garbage...Tibetan yak's milk cheese....Ethiopian camel's milk cheese...all manner of yuppie crap apart from the best cheese in the land.

I'll have no truck with this wanky poncy, home counties marketing ...frankly you can stick your farting little slivers of pre-packed greasy foreign muck up your bum....it's a right bugger when the finest cheese in the land cant be had without a search.

When I read the OP it brought back memories of Michael Palin and John Cleese......

Blasphemy on here no doubt but I’ve always preferred a good Cheshire to a good Lancashire cheese.
