You've got to be impressed at how much time Turtle spends researching things like US politics, EU/UK Politics, global warming, UK Law and all its intricacies, browsing extremist websites etc.

That's a lot of things to be doing, plus the normal time spent on social media arguing with people.

I think we should all applaud him for his efforts.

In your world too. Volcanoes account for about one-twelth of the carbon emissions that mankind generates. There might be peaks and troughs every now and then but generally speaking each year about 200 million tons of CO2 is released each year by volcanoes. However, that has already been accounted for in the climate. Volcanoes have been releasing CO2 for billions of years, and the climate has adapted over the course of those billions of years to their emissions and an equilibrium is reached. Therefore unless CO2 emissions from volcanoes have suddenly increased and we don't know about it, then volcanoes account for none of the current warming.

Any warming by normal volcanic emissions was created millions of years ago, since then the planet has adapted to account for their normal emissions.

Volcanic emissions every year are about 1/100th of human emissions (i got my figures wrong earlier). The current warming is caused by an increase in emissions into the system.

The CO2 rise is man-made, therefore the warming caused by the CO2 rise is also man-made. Maybe in the past a rapid rise in volcanic activity that was then maintained annually somehow caused global warming of some small degree, but the climate will have adapted to that long before now, but that's not happened recently, therefore none of the current warming is a result of a rapid and sustained increase in volcanic activity.

No one said they have nothing to do with climate change. I was very careful to make the point that they have nothing to do with the current warming.

You'd think having been around since the 50's that you'd have, at some point, learned to pay attention to detail.
