Don’t get me wrong last nights points was superb. But Sean Dyche tells us time and time again it isn’t over until it’s mathematically over. It isn’t. His celebration and our freekick in the last 30 seconds were embarrassing.

It wasn't the celebration or the free kick that is embarrassing, think most people can see what is embarrassing though

We simply won't concede enough, our current form would suggest that too.
I’m not wanting or expecting us to go down.

It’s the fact our manager decides to celebrate survival when it isn’t mathematically over. We had no interest in winning in the 2nd half. That’s poor. What is the point if you ain’t trying to win. **** poor.

Dyche was celebrating a well-earned point against all odds. What's wrong with that?

No? We had the most clear cut chance of the second half when the ball stuck under Wood's feet.

Of course it's a long shot. You get round to the bookies and see what odds you get on Burnley losing the next two, Cardiff winning the next two, and with margins of victory averaging 3 and a half per game.

Your'e suggesting that Cardiff might win both and with big margins of victory; and Burnley with lose both with even bigger margins of defeat. Of course it might happen, but double of course it's a long shot. That's why you can get 1,000-1 on relegation.

It’s isn’t a long shot to say going into the final weekend a win at Old Trafford for Cardiff plus us to lose vs Arsenal and a 3/4 goal swing will send us down.
My bookie (Bet365) is offering odds for relegation only on Cardiff (1/8), Brighton (5/1); Southampton 150/1.
Not offering odds on us to go down - it's too much a long shot.

Looking at Oddschecker, though, a couple are offering odds on us still....... range is 300/1 to 1000/1.
You need to whack some money on at 1000/1 (SportingBet). Get yourself a tenner on that quick.

What exactly is your definition of a long shot ? Have you any idea of the odds of what you are referring to actually happening ?
I can`t be bothered looking it up and working it out...but my guess would be several thousand to one.

As for Dyche celebration being embarrassing....what a ridiculous thing to say. He celebrated the win at Stamford Bridge last season...and we were only on 3 points after that game ! You are criticising our manager for celebrating a fantastic away draw in front of the watching world on TV against one of the richest and "biggest" clubs in Europe and earning a point which virtually guarantees survival....and for some reason that is completely beyond me you call that embarrassing ?

Cardiff beating Fulham/Palace 2/3-0 isn’t a long shot
City/Everton beating us 4/5-0 isn’t a long shot

It will take something freaky I know. But lets not pretend that Cardiff are playing absolute world class teams the next 2 weekends. They play Fulham. Cardiff getting 2/3/4 isn’t out of the equation. Palace ain’t exactly great either.

City on there day could easily get 4/5/6. Everton already put 5 past us. 4 past Man U just this weekend.

Aaah bless the poor lad....he`s still not got over his shameful performance in the World Cup 7-1 defeat against Germany where he could not stop crying for the next few weeks....and the £50m centre back then has to spend the whole game fouling a player that cost half a million pounds.

Why the hell is anyone in the media given airtime and credibility to the clown who did this ?

The Chelsea team, their fans and players like David Luiz sum up everything that is bad about the Premier League

I suppose it depends on your definition of a long shot, but Fulham 0 Cardiff 2 is currently 16/1 and Burnley 0 Man City 4 is 9/1. There aren't any odds available on the following week's games yet but they'll no doubt be longer.

For the sake of argument let's assume they're the same. Let's halve the odds because we're allowing 3-0 and 5-0 scorelines as well. An accumulator on those scorelines would pay around 15,000/1.

Not a long shot.

Are you being deliberately stupid ?
Cardiff beating Fulham is 28/1....that`s a long shot
City beating Burnley 5-0 is 20/1
Everton beating Burnley 4-0 is 25/1
Cardiff beating Palace is 2/1
Cardiff beating Man Utd will be about 10/1

Individually there is a lot of long shots in there already.....but put them all together (which is what needs to happen) is more than 12,000/1.....and you don't think that is a long shot.....a sequence like that has never happened in the history of football.

Chelsea don’t need a subs bench, they can just sit on Luiz’s bottom lip.

Even if we do lose all 3, Cardiff win theirs and overturn the GD, you still haven't factored in Brighton and Soton who need to overcome us too. Easier jobs than Cardiff have of course, but all 3 of them pulling it off?

That's why the odds are 1000/1.

I was concerned at folk cheering on Cardiff vs Brighton because I wanted it to be all but mathematically sealed asap. Our point last night means it now all but mathematically is.

We wont be caught. Relax.

Wonder what odds were for

Juventus 1 Ajax 2
Barca 3 Man U O
Man C 4 Spurs 3
Porto 1 Liverpool 4

Or
Losc 5 Psg 1
Nantes 3 Psg 2

Or 10-0 Sean Murphy
Or Germany 7 Brazil 1

I could go on and on tbh

Brilliant...i knew he had played badly but I couldn't remember it was this badly !!
I hope that those crying kids were all his children.

You can see the type of character he is in the way he blames everyone else for the goals when he is at fault as much as anyone else. The goal from the corner he stamps his feet and waves his arms....who exactly was he supposed to be marking ?!!

Yes you could go on....but you would still be wrong.
Why are you quoting individual games with no connection between any of them ?
If you can name a sequence of games / sporting events at around 15,000/1 that actually materialised then feel free.

Are you seriously not understanding how it works ?

The corner is amazing. Completely lost his man.

Hadn't PSG already paid £50m for him by the time of this game. I bet they were frantically searching for the receipt.

Can`t remember...possibly...they dodged a bullet selling him back for £40m.
My main memory of that Brazil game was how Luiz continuously pushed himself up the pitch and into midfield when Germany were constantly breaking on Brazil...Germany missed a hatful of chances that game. The way Luiz completely deserted his position, discipline and his team mates says everything about him....he`s not only a sh-it footballer but he's a sh-it person.

Someone on one of their websites (The Shed) is complaining about the time added on because Burnley players were down for 7 minutes and there were 6 subs! On correction, he knocked it down to 4 because one of theirs was in the first half!

Not that it’s really necessary but well ... why not eh.
Currently over 60% agreeing that Burnley did nothing wrong with three quarters of that figure ‘strongly agreeing’.

SD goes on about fairness and honesty but in the second half we milked every tackle,"injury", "cramp" to an embarrassing degree. I was just waiting for Barnes to be booked for play acting.

Watched it with a mate - a Leicesterl fan - and he asked me if we played like that most weeks and how anybody could enjoy watching it - he kept pointing out we had 11 players within 30 yards of the goal for literally 90% of the second half.

I know the end justifies the means but could we not have shown just a bit of adventure, a bit of football or a bit of attacking - we are staying in the Premier league again but I defy anyone to say they enjoy watching that stuff.
Did you not tell your mate we have scored more goals this season than any other in the Prem and that we have knocked seven in past Bournemouth?

More whinging from DL outlined on the BBC site, hopefully he may get a bit of comeback from dissing the ref like this........
" And after describing the Clarets' tactics as "anti-football", Luiz has now claimed that referee Kevin Friend 'laughed in his face' when he tried to complain about their perceived time-wasting on Monday.

"I think it is the first time I’ve done that," the Brazilian told the club website. "It is difficult because when you see a referee even laugh in your face when you try to speak with him in a respectful way, it is not nice.

"When I was trying to speak with him he was never looking in my eyes and he was not trying to listen. He just said 'I don’t want to listen to you. Shut up and play the game'."

Those results ain’t exactly a long shot either

15,028/1 or to put it another way a 0.0066542% chance of happening, and even if it does you need all teams below us to win games. Probably similar odds of winning Ning the lottery.

Don’t get me wrong last nights points was superb. But Sean Dyche tells us time and time again it isn’t over until it’s mathematically over. It isn’t. His celebration and our freekick in the last 30 seconds were embarrassing.
Okay we aren't mathematically safe but you are asking Cardiff to do something that is unrealistic. If someone buys a lottery ticket they are 'mathematically in with a chance of winning but the odds are millions to one. A 17 goal swing with 3 games to go is a bridge too far mate. We WILL be playing in the PL next season without a doubt. And also, just to give more weight to our safety, Cardiff have to win all 3 games regardless of what happens to us and they just don't seem capable of that, especially given the fact that two of them are away, Fulham who have nothing to play for and may just want to goi out on a high and they have the forwards to do that and United who will want to leave the fans happy at the end of the season.

Go support rovers, we dont need you
If you cannot understand how good that was last night, you not only dont understand Burnley, you dont understand football.

Just to add to that freakish set of Cardiff's results - you are forgetting that, in addition, Brighton would have to beat two of Spurs (A) Arsenal (A) Man City (H) or Newcastle (H) with an improved goal difference over all four games, to trouble us. Longshot indeed.

Great point - forgot about that !
So odds now of what ? 100,000 to 1 ?

Dyched seems to have gone missing.

Favourite bit is where he tries to boot the ball at Muller but completely misses it. Ultimate Sunday Leagueness.
Was it the same game they all warned up Neymar t-shirts?

The dive in the first half was actually laughed at on the BBC football site. What WAS he trying to achieve with no opposition player in the same postcode? Suggestion was that it was a blatant piece of cheating intended to distract. Who knows but it comes to something when players from the 'big six' complain of cheating, they have it off to a fine art.

It’s the fact our manager decides to celebrate survival when it isn’t mathematically over. We had no interest in winning in the 2nd half. That’s poor. What is the point if you ain’t trying to win. **** poor.
How many teams score two at Stamford Bridge? No credit? How about the fact we went 2-1 down in 5 minutes then had the resolve to come back and equalise? No credit? What about the fact a team with world class players in it completely ran out of ideas in the second half because we defended so well?

People like you tend to forget that sometimes the opposition has much better players, which especially away means they're going to be difficult to beat. It sounds obvious but reading cr*p on here you wonder if it's forgotten. Do you think we'd be more of a threat with Hazard on our side? Yes. Why? He's better at football.

What does he (Louise) expect?
With the massive disparity in funds available the top 6 buying up all the best players whether they wish to play them or loan them out, they have to accept that the smaller and less financially strong clubs will do whatever it takes to compete. This is what we do very often.
I suppose the Chelsea attitude is that 12-14 clubs are only there to make up the numbers.

As for entertainment: I was thoroughly entertained by brilliant Burnley defending. Well done to SD and the team.
