Chris Wood
Just been watching interesting interview on Sky with Chris Wood and his wife, Kirsty. Talking about the work he’s done in NZ to promote the women's game and their respective footballing careers. Now available On Demand, if anyone’s interested.
Re: Chris Wood
Thanks for the info I'll download that. His sister plays for NZ and his partner Kirsty plays for Lverpool, no doubt plenty of football talk in the family.Brucefanclaret wrote:Just been watching interesting interview on Sky with Chris Wood and his wife, Kirsty. Re: Chris Wood
Let's hope Mrs Wood spent the summer explaining the offside rule to Chris.

Wonder if VAR will work in his favour this season? I know everyone jokes about him being offside, but a lot of them are tight calls.

Like the clearly onside goal at Watford that was ruled out.Ric_C wrote:Wonder if VAR will work in his favour this season? I know everyone jokes about him being offside, but a lot of them are tight calls.

But then the small group who like to criticise him might have to find a new target if it does

I'm sure that, being Burnley fans, they will have no problem finding somebody else ---they have never failed in the 68 seasons I have been going to the Turf!claretonthecoast1882 wrote:But then the small group who like to criticise him might have to find a new target if it does

He will certainly cause chaos as the linesman has to keep the flag down until the opportunity is over.Ric_C wrote:Wonder if VAR will work in his favour this season? I know everyone jokes about him being offside, but a lot of them are tight calls.
It could be he scores more ala Watford or we just celebrate an offside goal to be mocked by the away fans when it's ruled out.
