Liverpool want to hire Spurs new ground
I've just read that Liverpool are looking to hire the New White Hart lane for a friendly against Napoli in the summer.
Liverpool have opted for concerts at Anfield rather than friendlies.

Commercialism of the summer friendlies is nout new. By holding it in London you open it up to far more tourists.Quickenthetempo wrote:I've just read that Liverpool are looking to hire the New White Hart lane for a friendly against Napoli in the summer.

I see it the same as if it were being played in Tokyo or New York. Their home ground just also happens to be in this country.

Re: Liverpool want to hire Spurs new ground
I read last week that Napoli were happy to play Liverpool but wanted it to be played in London but it is how it is these days, and with international friendlies too. I went to Italy v Argentina last year at the Etihad in Manchester.

Re: Liverpool want to hire Spurs new ground
We won at New York in 2015 on a Friday night. Think it was our first visit.
From memory we have a poor record at Bescot, equally we never seemed to do well at Scunthorpe in the first few years there.

It was Davis one and only time in charge we won 1-0 but can't remember who scored,so like BFS with England he has a 100% record.Transpennine wrote:Was that Steve Davis' first and only game in charge? Or did I dream that...?

Liverpool saying the new pitch laying is delayed for the gigs.
After the Sean Cox incident it is probably better all round to keep Italians out of Liverpool.
Makes good financial sense to play it in London. There’ll be more Italians there than scousers.

Although we did win this game 1-0 as you say...I'm pretty certain that when we became the first away team to win there was a few years earlier than this gametiger76 wrote:It was Davis one and only time in charge we won 1-0 but can't remember who scored,so like BFS with England he has a 100% record.
