What if this happened

Post by JimMcDonald » Thu Apr 25, 2019 6:44 pm

After last night with United fans not caring that City won just so Liverpool dont win the league it got me thinking.....What if this happened.

Blackburn are 2nd in the Premierleague, one point behind the leaders with 1 game to play.

We play the team thats top in the final game. We have nothing to play for.

Would you want us to lose so that Blackburn didnt win the league ??

I most certain would want us to lose. Id cheer every opposition goal. Infact i think the manager would be encouraged to lose.

Has a team ever lost a game on perpous and would they be done by the FA if they did ? Was it Colin who accused United of losing to West Ham when Sheff Utd got relagated ?

Our manager encourages his players to lose cup games so dont see why doing it once in a league game under your scenario would matter that much

It would be more worrying if it wasnt true. Because the opposite - not being good enough to unlock teams like accy. Port vale. Lincoln. Etc every season is far worse.

For thw record id hope we would go out and try and win. Karma is a bitch.

Hopefuly we would win... and they still lost anyway. But like reverse of how they won the league in 95 when they lost against liverpool.
