Would you like a free drink from the club next week?

Post by ClaretTony » Fri Apr 26, 2019 10:05 am

Burnley fans are invited to a free beer tasting session at Turf Moor next week.

The club is sampling several beers to serve during the 2019/20 season and would like to offer supporters a chance to have their say.

The taster session will take place in the Clearly Interiors 1882 Lounge (Centre Spot) on Tuesday, April 30 between 4-6pm.

There's no charge, so why not pop along and enjoy a drink on us?

Will we be able to use a 21st century payment method to purchase this new fancy ale?

Bit too early for most people on the 9-5, but a nice idea nonetheless. Hope they decide to do a better timed session in future.

Clearly aimed at the Bob Lord brigade with that timing ;)

So it will be Cocoa and Horlicks at half time next season

Its about time some decent beer got served up, the stuff they sell now is awful and ridiculously overpriced, i dont mind paying for a good pint so lets see what sort of stuff we can look forward to next season, come BFC, keep prices down and quality up, sounds a bit like our team really.

I use contactless most weeks in the cricketfield stand if that's what you mean?

Will this be like the pie tasting session from about 10 years ago? A choice of about 10 different suppliers, and I think a firm from clayton won. But then the club reverted to selling Hollands anyway...

So next season we can look forward to real ale in the Bob Lord, cider in the beehole, lager in the longside and alcho pop and 'coke' in the cricketfield.

Can anyone who goes please request that whatever is chosen they do not have at least a few pre poured pints ready at half time next season.

I want to ensure everyone still has to queue as long as possible and really earn it.

You can’t in the majority of other areas. They don’t think the trial went well apparently, despite not telling people and not making it widely available. Those in the Cricket Field are often buying for others due to the ridiculous queue, so cash is exchanged between mates.

It should be an absolute basic addition next season.

It absolutely should. Ridiculous that it’s not been in place for years.
