Crouch on bench?
"Work, work and more work. I have managed to train every day this week and, fingers crossed, hope to be on the bench for Sunday's big game against Manchester City at Turf Moor. I can't tell you what a relief it is to be back among the lads." Daily Mail

Dyche said he was out of the reckoning although he must be close, he got a mention on Corrie last night.

No - he last came on against Leicesterturfytopper wrote:Was he the last sub we used lol
We've since brought on JBG for McNeil & Hendrick against Wolves and Bournemouth respectively.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him get a new deal with us.

He will undoubtedly get a new contract before Vydra will appear.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote:Wouldn’t be surprised to see him get a new deal with us.
Re: Crouch on bench?
I hope not, absolutely useless. I can't believe we brought in a 50 year old beanpole who couldn't get a game in the division below to save our season, embarrassing really.
He's 7ft tall and I still haven't seen him win a header for us, he jumps and gets shorter.

Re: Crouch on bench?
Yeah we all imagined him winning the header against Saints that got us the penalty that got us a point - massive moment in the seasonKRBFC wrote:I hope not, absolutely useless. Re: Crouch on bench?
Great news. Release the Crouch!
Re: Crouch on bench?
He didn't touch the ball so I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion he won the header so you must have imagined it.Vegas Claret wrote:Yeah we all imagined him winning the header against Saints that got us the penalty that got us a point - massive moment in the season

Re: Crouch on bench?
I think he probably saw the ball change direction to hit the Southampton man's raised arm, at about the spot where Crouch's head was. What it did hit, if it wasn't Crouch's head?KRBFC wrote:He didn't touch the ball so I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion he won the header so you must have imagined it.

Didn’t he win the header that put Vydra through against Leicester in injury time as well?KRBFC wrote:I hope not, absolutely useless. I can't believe we brought in a 50 year old beanpole who couldn't get a game in the division below to save our season, embarrassing really.

Re: Crouch on bench?
Who let the crackhead head back on here?!
Re: Crouch on bench?
Crouch was in the box when we won the penalty against Southampton so some people are using that as justification for what still a shocker of a signing.

Re: Crouch on bench?
He was an absolute dreadful signing. And our results since shouldn't mask that.

Re: Crouch on bench?
Yes we should have just kept Big Sam... I'm sure he'll be worth double what we got for him next season silly business by Burnley all round.
