Dirty Leeds
Perfect end to the season if they bottle the play offs - there will be flooding in Leeds from Patrick’s tears

Re: Leeds - shocking
He's a bloody mard arse. He slagged off Palace when they had the sense to get rid of him and then did it here because he couldn't deal with the set up. It's all about him with his hideous goal celebrations, even when his team are already beaten. But he's surpassed himself today. What a shame he can't be suspended by the FA for his actions but I hope Leeds take action against him.DCWat wrote:My best mate (Leeds fan) doesn’t half slate Bamford! You are spot on. Why Leeds should have had to let the goal be walked in is beyond me. While the gesture from Biesla is admirable, if Dyche allowed that to happen I would be furious!
Perfectly good goal. And I don't like Leeds!

Wholly disagree it’s a “perfectly good goal” in that it is morally imperfect. Roberts, at the request of Villa players, slowed it down and feigned he was putting it out, so meeting the “sportsman’s request” but didn’t, and then Glich played to the rules.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Just seen it for the first time.

Roberts is the villain here, along with Glich, and Biesla’s gesture is right on. And it’s exactly within the Dyche moralistic code - don’t cheat, don’t feign injury, don’t hunt the ref....

Yep. And I think a few people on here have only seen the clip - they haven't seen the earlier incidents where Villa didn't have to put it out either, but they did.NRC wrote:Wholly disagree it’s a “perfectly good goal” in that it is morally imperfect. People can disagree that Leeds didn't have to follow the unwritten rule (although I've heard that it's actually in the rulebook somewhere that you have to play it out) but this isn't what it's about.

Re: Leeds - shocking
Roberts' feint is the only problem with it. Villa player rolling around like he's been shot, Villa players demanding it be put out. They should grow up. I don't like Leeds either but players exaggerating injury is a scourge of the game. Play. To. The. Whistle.NRC wrote:Wholly disagree it’s a “perfectly good goal” in that it is morally imperfect. The ball did not have to be played out. Teams often play on. I didn't like the way, however, the Leeds player moved as if he was going to put the ball out, then played on. It was despicable from Bamford

Id rather Leeds got beat by Derby in the Semi Finals with Lampard running over to the Leeds end with a pair of binoculars, white board and stick.Falcon wrote:Hope Villa get Leeds in play off final and Bamford gets sent off for simulation before Villa score the winning goal despite having a player down injured.

The main thing for me was Roberts - he pointed at the "injured" Villa player, his body shape was looking like he was about to kick it out which meant the Villa players stopped. To play the pass to on offside Klitch was disgraceful.

Re: Leeds - shocking
I'm fed up with the number of times I see attackers kick the ball out because a defender is 'injured', and then the ball is thrown in by the defending team to one of theirs who boots it way up field while the defence follows up pushing the attacking team back.
We've all seen 'injured' players in those scenarios suddenly recover.
I also think that Bielsa's call to 'Give them a goal' was against the way the game is supposed to be played. I wonder, too, how he would react if he saw an incident like Bamford's which resulted in a Leeds penalty. Would he tell his players to refuse to take it, or, (if a goal resulted) would he tell them to 'Give them a goal' ? Although, realistically, he would see it through Arsene Wenger's eyes.

Re: Leeds - shocking
Villa weren't given a walk in goal just because Leeds carried on and scored. There is nowt wrong with that. Villa asked for one because of that shitter who stopped as if he was about to play the ball out stopped Villa from playing the game. Villa players stopped until the ball reached the other shitter who went on to score.Bullabill wrote:I'm fed up with the number of times I see attackers kick the ball out because a defender is 'injured', and then the ball is thrown in by the defending team to one of theirs who boots it way up field while the defence follows up pushing the attacking team back.

Re: Leeds - shocking
If Leeds had currently been in mid table with no chance of the play offs im pretty sure their player would have kicked the ball out of play. In the spirit of the game it was wrong for Leeds to go on and score and I their Manager realised that and well done to him. It will be interesting to see if he stays next season if they don't get promoted via the play offs.

Re: Leeds - shocking
This is the result of the investigation from the FA
Anwar El Ghazi will be available for Aston Villa’s next three matches after a claim of wrongful dismissal was upheld by an Independent Regulatory Commission. The forward was sent off for violent conduct during the EFL Championship fixture against Leeds United on Sunday [28/04/2019].
Patrick Bamford has subsequently been charged with ‘successful deception of a match official’. It is alleged the Leeds United player’s behaviour in the 72nd minute of the fixture, which involved committing a clear act of simulation that led to Anwar El Ghazi being dismissed, amounts to improper conduct. The forward has until 18:00 on Wednesday [01/05/2019] to respond to the charge.
In addition, Leeds United and Aston Villa have been charged with a breach of FA Rule E20. It is alleged they failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 72nd minute of the fixture. Both clubs have until 18:00 on Friday [03/05/2019] to provide a response.
