What is it with football fans throwing beer when ‘their’ team score. Remember this being a bug bear on the utc with some posters

The players dont set a very good example spraying Champagne everywhere. Id suggest stopping the players first and the fans will probably follow suit. I might write to the FA and make this suggestion starting with this years cup final

I wold stop everyone drinking beer and champagne at any football game, in fact I'd stop everyone drinking alcohol at all, I'm sure there is someone, somewhere with a grudge against enjoyment, who will agree with me.

I watched the England vs Scotland game in ‘96 the White Horse in Padiham, After Scotland’s penalty miss, ther was pause in play that meant lots of folk went to the bar for more drinks. Within no time at all, Paul Gascoigne soured ‘that’ goal; the air was full of beer. I’ve never seen anything like it. The walls, ceiling, tables and customers were dripping with ale.
