Tarkowski is better than Keane in my view. He's far bigger and more powerful than Keane ever was.

Keane was excellent for us, but he had a tendency to be bullied from time to time. Keane was quick, I think Dyche said quicker than anyone else in the squad at one point, and a decent distributor. I was and am a massive fan, even if Everton fans aren't, but I think Tarkowski can go further in the game than Keane. He's an absolute monster. People get far too bogged down by the odd stray pass he makes each game. He's a really good defender and has the potential for so much more.

The only player who can dominate physically like Tarks in the prem is Van Dijk

He's got a way to go (and isn't as fast) but he's going to be in demand this summer.

If we lose Tarks we should defo try and get Jansson from Leeds.

Not convinced, I think he’s a bit of a fraud, and also a bit up himself, not for us.

Always presumed SD knew Tarky would attract interest hence why we spent on Gibson . He will attract interest for sure , perhaps time to cash in with along with Pope , along with whatever we get for the other leavers . We should have a pretty reasonable warchest .

Selby Claret wrote:I actually think there's value in having left footed centre halves. Given that more players favour their right foot to shoot then they'd more likely take on a centre half to the defender's left in order to strike centrally towards goal - much like having a left footed left back to combat a right footed winger's crosses.
Very fair observation

I don't want a "war chest" I want us to keep our top players. Maybe let someone move on, but only after we've got the replacement tied down to a contract.
