Free Deardrie
The weatherfield One! Comedy at it's finest..."Soaps" as they're now called make for crap TV IMO.
Re: Free Deardrie
They don't do your spelling any good, either.tim_noone wrote:The weatherfield One! Comedy at it's finest..."Soaps" as they're now called make for crap TV IMO.

See what I mean....everything's got to be serious now....though I acknowledge the wink tbh haven't watched "soaps"in years.... When you could laugh at the story lines with stan Ogden jack duckworth and Les Battersby.....I'm reduced to watching gogglebox..now!dsr wrote:They don't do your spelling any good, either.

Ena, her vassels, Albert & Minnie in the snug, nursing a bottle of stout, waiting to ambush Elsie Tanner was a sight to behold.tim_noone wrote:See what I mean....everything's got to be serious now....though I acknowledge the wink tbh haven't watched "soaps"in years.... yup, agree.tim_noone wrote:The weatherfield One! Comedy at it's finest..."Soaps" as they're now called make for crap TV IMO.
All far too serious and driving political correctness and virtue signalling. I stopped watching them years ago to be honest, dipped in and out a few times when the media makes a hype about a story line and I get my curiosity pricked a little, but generally they're poor these days.

Oh no Tim, you need help. Gogglebox??? A programme about people watching TV. They really scraped the barrel when they invented that one. Who the hell ever had the idea that a programme showing people watching telly would be a good idea? The next step will be a programme showing people watching Gogglebox*.tim_noone wrote:See what I mean....everything's got to be serious now....though I acknowledge the wink tbh haven't watched "soaps"in years.... *Don't tell me - it's already been done I suppose.
I'm going to invent a programme called Lawnwatchers - it'll be about people watching grass grow.

Agree. I gave up on TV soaps some years ago......though the Coronation Street of the 80's was great comedy. It's not for me now.tim_noone wrote:The weatherfield One! Comedy at it's finest..."Soaps" as they're now called make for crap TV IMO.
