Still brings a tear to my eye this one, as it did on the day, truly unforgettable day at Wembley, I was up out of my seat as soon as the ball left Wades foot, there was only one place is was going to end up, and cant forget the heart stopping moment when we thought Kalvanes had given away a penalty. That was when Mike Dean began his love affair with the Clarets as im sure you all remember. [over ruled the Cardiff penalty too, what a nice chap] Happy memories.

Did Mike Dean give the penalty against Kalvines

No, it did look like a nailed on pen though, if you watch the replay you will agree, we got away with that one, I think we would have won the game anyway.paulatky wrote:Did Mike Dean give the penalty against Kalvines

What a day that was. I went for a day out, never expected to win.
The ticket fiasco left a sour taste to the stage that i turned stubborn and in the end didn’t want to go. Got gifted one, wow- what a day and what a buffoon I nearly was!

Went for 'one pint' the afternoon before. Rolled in at 5am. Getting picked up at 6. Nearly missed it. So some of the haze was self inflicted

I was following the text commentary on Sky website while at work doing my best to concentrate on work duties. The boys were back in the big time!

Free entry to the nightclubs if you kept your ticket from the game was a good idea only downside was you couldn’t get out the damn car park on the coaches so was about 3 am by the time the coach got back to Burnley. Sat watching everyone else leave with a few cans from the local Wembley off licence anyone else remember the one he had cans of carling in black bins full of ice selling at like £2 a tin or something. Was a cracking day suffered the next few after it though ha ha.
