Ali Koiki
Just reading about him on a Swindon Town forum. They seem to think he is miles away from being a left back due to his poor defending. But with his attacking ability they want him playing on the wing as he is the best crosser of a ball they have. Also an interview with their manager (Wellens?) Where he says they have an agreement with us that if they want him he is there next season for the full season also. Didnt see anything at the time of his loan move to them regards this

Re: Ali Koiki
I think there’s some truth in the analysis, which is why he’s in League 2 to learn how to defend. Not sure about next season though, let’s hope he develops

Sounds like a poor man's Tendayi Darikwa. If he improves and we get relegated in the next few years he might be worth keeping

Young lad learning the game and getting his first experience of first team football. He will learn the defensive side of the game with experience.

He wouldn't be the first player to change position, if it happens.

There arent many 4th Div players who have all aspects of their game sorted. As Tony says, he's learning.

Lowton rhymes with go / rhymes with Cow
Tarkowski / Tarkovski (even SD changes his mind depending on the interview)
Chris Woods (many papers)
Tom Pope (many papers)
Ben Meer (a Mersonism)
Back of the queue please...

Re: Ali Koiki
Oh I fully agree in the reason he is at that level is to learn the defensive side to the game. No better level at his age to ply his trade. Coming up against players much bigger and tougher can only help him.
The post was more regards the manager saying they could keep him for another year if they wanted

Re: Ali Koiki
The comments about his defending remind me a tad of the comments Barnsley fans made about Kieron Trippier when he was there on loan. Obviously, Trippier didn't turn out to badly in either aspect of his game.
Admittedly, that was at a slightly higher level, but equally Koiki is a year younger. It's decidedly early to make any long term verdict on his defending just yet. THe important thing is he's getting regular games.
