Looks like he's had a good season in Australia. Hopefully will be coming back a more confident player with another season's experience under his belt.
If he has a strong pre-season there's no reason why he can't be challenging for the first team squad - it's definitely an area we need more numbers.

Re: Aiden O'Neill
Is he coming back?
Didn't he seek a loan move out there for "personal reasons"?

Re: Aiden O'Neill
Isn't he out of contract this summer with the option of a year IF we want to enforce it? Yes I know I can check, but I can't be bothered.

Re: Aiden O'Neill
They finished bottom of the A-League by a country mile - and have finished bottom 3 of the last 4 seasons (seemingly with no relegation)
Hopefully he was a diamond in the rough..!

I'm about 99.9% we'll not see him in a Burnley shirt again to be honest.
Re: Aiden O'Neill
I, too, thought he was gone, in order to resettle in Australia.
Good luck to the lad.

It looked at one point as if he was a genuine contender for a first team place but that's a while gone now.
It would be a massive surprise to see him back at Burnley.

Re: Aiden O'Neill
I'm sure he's been talking recently about winning a place in our side when he's back?
Re: Aiden O'Neill
I'm sure I read in a interview saying he's wanting to challenge for the first team next season.
Re: Aiden O'Neill
That is so. He seemed very positive in the interview. Poor as the A-League is it has given him weekly exposure and that can only be a benefit. I'd like to see him come back and give it his best shot, there is a player in there.
Re: Aiden O'Neill
Also his DOB means he doesn't count to the 25man squad and neither does McNeil but Dunne cannot play unless named in the 25 and the same applies to Agyei who I suspect will be off at the end of the season as he is OOC.
