MIGHTY CLARETS versus Toffeescouse
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Toffeescouse
We’re getting ripped apart here. So so poor. But I could see it coming - team has just given up. It pays to finish higher the table ffs.

That on slow motion looked offside. Half of his foot no more.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Toffeescouse
Wide players have barely touched the ball, but seen as both have been useless all season (in the rare occasions they’re fit) I shouldn’t be surprised.
Far stronger team with Hendrick and McNeil.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Toffeescouse
When everyone knows how averse Dyche is to making changes and then all of a sudden he makes 2 for no reason you can sort of sense what kind of performance is coming!

This is purely to wind Cardiff / Colin up.

Apart from Gudmundson being our best outfielder at the start of the season and Brady being unfit you make a good pointjedi_master wrote:Wide players have barely touched the ball, but seen as both have been useless all season (in the rare occasions they’re fit) I shouldn’t be surprised.

Been a good player for us but Cork is finished as a starter at this level.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Toffeescouse
That’s hardly a ringing endorsement, they were all shite. Gudmundsson has dropped ridiculously from how good he was last season, he’s not alone.joey13 wrote:Apart from Gudmundson being our best outfielder at the start of the season and Brady being unfit you make a good point
I clearly stated ‘when fit’ when mentioning Brady.

We need a quick clever central mid during the summer.

Yep.jedi_master wrote:Been a good player for us but Cork is finished as a starter at this level.
I find it astonishing that a Premier League midfielder doesn’t have the composure to just take a touch, and find a team mate with a simple pass.
Our ball retention is diabolical, and Cork is our biggest culprit. He lazily wafts his foot at the ball, aiming in the general direction of Wood and Barnes. It’s bloody infuriating.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Toffeescouse
Powerhouse tackling machine with athleticism and height for me. Ideally a couple of midfielders as we have no depth there at all after Cork/Westwood. We’ve been very lucky they’ve stayed fit after starting the season relying on Defour to be the other CM.FactualFrank wrote:We need a quick clever central mid during the summer.

I keep forgetting we have Defour. Can't see him being of any use to us though now.

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Toffeescouse
I usually have a pop at crap performances but they've been superb since the turn of the year, Everton are a really good side at home - let's not forget last time out they beat United 4-0 and it should have been more. We shouldn't be able to compete with teams like Everton with the finances they throw at it. We just have to hope that every season we are better than 3 other teams

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Toffeescouse
Weird challenge from Westwood, sky saying it was naughty but I’m not sure if the zip of the grass and the fact Schneirderlin fell over made it look a lot worse than it would have done.
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Toffeescouse
Taken us going two down to wake up. Annoying. This game for me highlights the need for a powerful centre mid in summer. Just failing to impose ourselves physically in the middle.

Brady goes close
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Toffeescouse
Wearwood booked and commentators building and building to a sending off description.
To me, it was 2 players, one just gets there by a whisker and the other contacts the leg, as a consequence.

Must improve. Def get Vydra on
Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Toffeescouse
Got blown away first 20. Like we did in the reverse fixture. Been an even game since but then Everton don’t need to maintain that intensity 2-0 up. Wood has been particularly useless I must say.
