Really rate this referee and I truly believe that he has many more excellent games then poor. However, tonight I really feel that he favoured the home team and missed a few key decisions. He was very inconsistent..

What do we need to do to get a penalty?
2 handed push in the back in the area looks one to me.

I really do not understand how he doesn’t give the foul on Vydra. His position is fine and it’s absolutely stonewall.

Re: RATE THE REF - Chris Kavanagh v Everton
How he missed the red card for Westwood and the foul on Vydra is astonishing.
People wonder why VAR is needed.

Re: RATE THE REF - Chris Kavanagh v Everton
I was worried coming on here that he was going to get a good write up. Pleased to see that, so far, that is not the case. He had a poor game. As pointed out missed a clear pen for us, potential red card for Westwood and failed to book Keane who had two clear offences.

A poor game by his standards

Other than the missed penalty ( key match decision) was a very good performance.
You miss a big one then you expect the flack. He obviously did t see it despite the camera view proving otherwise.

Re: RATE THE REF - Chris Kavanagh v Everton
Watched on TV
The foul on Vydra by Keane was just outside the box and was not a penalty
Westwood was a little lucky not to see red and was helped by Everton player not making a meal of the tackle
Apart from these two decisions I thought he did ok

Overall, he let the game move.
Denied us a pen. Pity.
Westwood decision ok. I wouldn't have booked him even!

I thought the Linesman should have called foul for the push on Vydra, he would have seen it perfectly, unfortunately, it seems Linos are only allowed to make decisions on offsides and the ball being out of play.

Homer of a ref.
Might be best to change his name to Chris Simpson.

Homeblower
Gave us nothing and denied us a stonewall penalty
Re Westwood tackle Schniderling actually slid in with his studs up
Ignore the commentator who didnt want to see what actually happened and stupid Burnley mistake Walters with his misunderstanding of the tackle
The penalty push was 1m inside the box

Re: RATE THE REF - Chris Kavanagh v Everton
Iam glad somebody else saw the two footed challenge by the Everton player. Never mentioned it on TV, but everytime I saw it I thought it was bad. Also, refs shouldn't give cards just because it resulted in injury, which he clearly didWoodleyclaret wrote:Homeblower

Second time I’ve seen him have a poor game and both times he’s leaned heavily towards the home side.
Been mentioned that the push was outside the box. That’s not so, the two hander from Keane is inside and it should have been a pen. He has a really good view but clearly didn’t want to give it.

I think he's a good referee but if anyone thought that was a very good performance from him last night then the game is in serious trouble.dpinsussex wrote:Other than the missed penalty ( key match decision) was a very good performance.

Re: RATE THE REF - Chris Kavanagh v Everton
It was a poor performance and well before the ridiculous non penalty, I was amazed Everton players got away without bookings for 2 hand balls which broke up Burnley attacks. He was bending over backwards for them imo.
