Goodison Park
The next time anyone mentions how bad Turf Moor is or a so called embarrassment I insist they visit Everton.
For a well established premier league team the ground makes turf moor feel like the Tottenham Stadium.
Be happy with what you have got.

Less and less away days like that now. And thats sad.
Find it remarkable how many people crave plastic seats and all that comes with it.

Its hardly caviar at the turf and nor should it.
Some of the chippies and chinese around Goodison are top drawer. As are the proper pubs.

I love grounds, not stadiums. But for anyone to call the Turf they need to visit GP.

Yes, the shay won that competition.
My point being that so many Burnley fans complain about TM. Compared to GP we are light years ahead.

Re: Goodson Park
Anyone who’s been to Goodison and thinks that being in that lower bullens, especially towards the back, is great for fans and better then a modern ground is nuts. Yes it has character and that makes it better then modern grounds, but lots of other grounds have character and you can see the pitch at them. The view for fans at Goodison is truly appalling. Also I’m amazed that away end with wooden floors meets current fire regulations, especially the upper tier which has wires dangling off the roof and only 1 staircase leading out of there. It needs to go. It’s way past it is that ground. Call me whatever you like but when I go to a game I like to feel safe and not like the ground will fall apart, I also like actually being able to see the pitch and not feeling very claustrophobic, maybe that’s just me though.

Re: Goodson Park
I was right of the back row of the Upper tier and you can see f all from up there either. Sat down I could just about see all but the last 2 yards towards the far touchline. However, BFC away fans are not known for sitting down at games so I couldn't even see the other side of either penalty area and support post P covered much of the 6 yard box at our end of the ground. Thank goodness it only cost me a fiver, cheers Chairman.

Re: Goodson Park
Went last time and it is indeed a proper old school ground certainly the away end . If you’re at the back though it’s same as Anfield a rickety old death trap where you can only see bits of the pitch .Personally I think TM is a good ground ,true the CFS needs demolishing but quite why people crave a shiny plastic seat and an Arab sugar daddy...
As for food there’s a certain irony coming from Burnley fans who seem to expect the club to sell beer at 50p a pint “ coz that’s what it costs in the supermarket” you can just imagine the sales if BFC started a range of craft beers , tapas and vegan options

The last time I was in the away end I thought it was awful for viewing, Going back though I also remember having a good view from one of the long side stand in the 70's, a 1-1 draw with Latchford and Noble? scoring.
It's quite a vivid memory because my dad who supported Everton and I Burnley had for the first and last time watched both our teams play live together before he passed away many years later.

Cracking ground, one of the very best and I much prefer it to Anfield.
Give me Turf Moor, Goodison, Stamford Bridge, St.James’s Park, Craven Cottage, Elland Road, Carrow Road, Brammall Lane, City Ground, Hillsborough, Villa Park, The Hawthorns...any day of the week. Proper authentic grounds that remain what they were or have been developed within their footprint. I love how Goodison has been enhanced by the magnificent timelines and statues.

Had an ok view last night, lower tier, back row of the front blocks - shame about the football.
Been on the back row of the top tier which was poor and back of the bottom tier where you can not see anything at all. The pie was not bad, struggled to return to the seats second half as you could not get through the beer throwers and police.

Re: Goodson Park
I think it's inevitable within the next decade that Everton will move to a new ground. Kings Dock, Kirby or wherever. However Goodison Park for me is one of the most atmospheric traditional grounds and Everton's heart and soul will always dwell there. Even though we were taken to the cleaners, it was once again a great experience and their fans are some of the best. Only criticism is the floodlights, the brightest i've witnessed. Pity they couldn't turn them off for the first 20 minutes.

I love Goodison. I had an awful view last season but decent last night. That’s the negative but it’s a proper old football ground with all the old traditions. I’ve always enjoyed going there.
Really nice touch last night with Harvey, his family and those of Ball & Kendall.

We were lower tier right at the back and the view was very restricted, but spoke to an Everton fan who sits in the Gwladys Street and he said he hardly heard the Burnley fans, but from where we were the travelling clarets never stopped all game, even at 2-0 down.

Anything thats that old and engrained into the community the way it is should be allowed to remain as long as possible.
Anyway enough about the two blokes in the picture, similar sentiments about Goodison. Update it yes. But will be a real shame when it moves to the docks to acconmodate tje modern football fan.
Many of those businesses around goodison will disappear overnight.

Appreciate the view isnt great in every seat. Ive sat at the back and front in both tiers.
But if you get a good view its a great view.
Safety and all else concerned it has to cha ge soon. But as above i feel would be much better if they improved where they are rather than move out. Not that it will happen.

Absolute dump, the sort of ground that even the £30 cap makes it a rip off.
I purposely waited for the upper tier after not being able to see the game on previous visits in the lower tier, and still got a restricted view...

Wont play the seat lottery again though. Been 4 times and had an acceptable view once.
