Burnley Live
Free music in the town centre by the old Woolworths today. Get yourselves down
Re: Burnley Live
Will/would have been full of scrubbers wanting a free day out.
Will be full of women with all their kids looking for a cheap day to occupy the kidd, and teenagers just hanging about causing mischief and making the place look untidy.
If there's 1 thing ever to avoid in life it's an event described as a free Burnley Funday.

Re: Burnley Live
Well me and Mrs Vintage attended from about 3pm and enjoyed it.
The bands were good, the sun shone for some of the time, (bloody freezing when it didn't though)
There were plenty of security staff and a low key police presence, didn't see any bother just adults, kids and families having a good time.
Well done to everyone involved, we'll be back if it's on again next year.

Nah he's not Mr perfect.tim_noone wrote:Mr Perfect.
After his remarks about the free entertainment and the people of Burnley I'd go for Mr Pathetic.

Spoke to a few people who went down and enjoyed the Burnley Live event. The people who run these events for the benefit of Burnley for little or no return should be applauded. Fair play to Madge and his team

Re: Burnley Live
Don't remember seeing/hearing any youths on motorbikes whilst we were there but we did see a guy on the ground outside The Boot being tended to by emergency services around 6ish.Quickenthetempo wrote:Looks like youths on motorbikes tried riding through the crowds.

Not sure if it's a related incident but obviously hope he's ok.
Edit: Just seen a Burnley Express article on the book of faces about the incident, seems the poor guy on the floor was a victim of a hit and run by 2 people on an off road motorbike and suffered serious leg injuries.
Hope they catch the cowardly morons responsible and throw the book at them
