Awards Night
Am I missing something? I have seen no mention on here about last night's Players of the Year awards event?
Usually enjoy hearing people's stories and seeing people's pics with the players.....or was it that good a night that you are all still in bed nursing hangovers
Congrats to Ashley Westwood....very deserving winner IMO!

Re: Awards Night
I don't think any of the main players off here go, so it doesn't get the coverage other events do.

Re: Awards Night
I didn’t go to the after party but the main event was a good do.
Re: Awards Night
Not many players at the after party at Remedy,
Did they go on somewhere else this year.

Re: Awards Night
Lowton, Mee, Heaton and Pope were in Remedy......decent night.
Re: Awards Night
Well it would suit you if that was the case but it wasn't. It was an excellent night thoroughly enjoyed by 20 Accy Clarets. I expect Saturday' s 2009 Reunion to be just as good, if not even better. UTCtheroyaldyche wrote:Heard it wasnt all that

Re: Awards Night
Matt Lowton actually made it to the afterparty...? Though no harm whatsoever in a few shandy bass after a hard season . I think they went to a Gin bar afterwards though no idea Burnley had one ?

Attended for the first time and really enjoyed it! Was a great night out, dragged the other half and her daughter to it and although they not really into football they also enjoyed it.
They particularly liked the way you could approach the players for photos etc, this is where our club really excels, I can’t imagine you’ll be able to get close to some premier league players from say the big 6.
They managed to get photos with Pope, Hart, Lowton, Wood,Mee,Heaton and of course Sean. They already want to go next year!

I would expect so. After all he was the manager who got us promoted to the PL.Bordeauxclaret wrote:Is the manager invited?

See you there Pete, give us a wave.
Think it'll be a great night, players seem to loosen up and have a few tales to tell once retired.

Although I wasn't keen on how Coyle left us, I hope that he gets the respect he deserves for getting us promoted and doesn't get any abuse.

Do you actually think he'll be there?Leisure wrote:Although I wasn't keen on how Coyle left us, I hope that he gets the respect he deserves for getting us promoted and doesn't get any abuse.
But back to your point, he gave us younger fans 1 of the most memorable seasons a fan could wish for, making many fans dreams come true long the way.
Yes he left, but all has turned out for the better, and it can't be ignored what a big roll he played in where we are now.
He wouldn't be getting any earache from me, only a thanks.

Oh good stuff, I hope he is.
Do you know he'll be there, or are you just hoping is like myself?
