I'm not too sure about that! Surely winning CL is the most revered prize in club footy. The oil fields may have dried up by the time City have got close to 6 CL titles.

As Liverpool haven't won the league in decades it's what they are desperate to win, surely?

Poor City?

All the oil money in Arabia couldn't buy what Liverpool did tonight.

Liverpool v Spurs in Madrid, Arsenal v Chelsea in Baku: that will show these Johnny Foreigners what we mean by Brexit.

True enough. But how many time have 'Pool won the CL since PL inception and CL changed format? Big games for big clubs!

Has much as it pains me Liverpool have the pedigree of European Champions....City are inferior to a lot of British teams in Europe TBF.

Liverpool won in 2005 didn't they? Came back from 3-0 down at half time, I think. Which is still 1 more time than City have won a European trophy - EVER!

Liverpool deserved that

They must be hot favourites now, and lets be honest, both them and City are so much better than anybody else this season.

Whichever Cup or League City or Liverpool would or wouldn't prefer to win, compare and contrast
Man Utd, who will be looking on glumly, with a squad, half of whom don't seem particularly interested,
a lot of the other half not good enough, and a manager who seems out of his depth. (With a new(ish) 3 year contract)
(Remember a few months ago when all the talk was of United luring Poch up from Spurs) :D

Seems they've totally dropped a bollock with Ole.
Still, every cloud......

Outstanding performance...not only to score four times but also prevent Barca scoring one goal and without two of their best players.

I was being patronising.

I know we take the p1ss at Anfield about the lack of atmosphere but at least they do get the atmosphere on nights like last night. City's plastic hordes can barely get a song together home or away their sense of entitlement is so great.

Threads like these are great for weeding out the closet fans of the Big Clubs, aren’t they?

Liverpool are a far far better team to watch than Citeh. They play high risk and reward football which carries at least some jeopardy. Compare this with the million pass a game sterile brand that Citeh play. Yes they are a fine team, but its boring to watch for a lot of the game.

It's all about opinions though :D
