What has contact, in a contact sport, got to do with anything?

If there is is deliberate force, fine.
And the next line which sometimes follows "there was contact"........"he's entitled to go down"

No bloody use to me now I have retired ...I used to save them as they were ace for plugging screwholes in wooden doors to allow screws to bite when the holes were worn on replacing locks....

Best to keep pets off the pitch, in my opinion, except for rhinos, which would liven up the games considerably.

Do you mean 'Trippierre' - the young French philanthropist from the picturesque town of St Emilion in the heart of wine producing Bordeaux or Trippier - the lad from Bury?

I believe the trial by BFC is so successful, that it has been extended, indefinitely.

Having to decide whether you want to go on days before the game.

Not being able to drink beer and watch the game.

People throwing beer.

Players not acknowledging the fans that have spent money and travelled to watch them, & pay some of their wages.

Most importantly, dogs not being able to get on the pitch anymore.

Start generating billions a year, the kind of money that can set a club like Burnley up to pay out £70m in wages a year and you will earn it.

Same as every year this thread comes up;

If a defender is blocking the opposition to allow the ball to go out for goal kick the attacking team should be allowed to tackle with 2 feet above waist height.

Closer to home, having to have a scapegoat in the starting 11 and people who want a 30000 plastic Turf Moor.

Number 1

Not being able to turn the TV commentators off and keep the actual match day sound. Phil Bird excluded, I could listen to him all day.

Number 2

People thinking that they have to restrict themselves to rigid guidelines, like transfer windows.

The Dutch transfer window doesn't open until June.

Ajax have already sold Frenkie de Jong (CM) and Maximilian Wober (CB).

They have already bought Razvan Marin (CM), Kik Pierie (CB) and Kjell Scherpen (GK).

I suspect they will buy a couple more before their window actually opens, followed by one or two bigger signings when it does. Their "can do, on the ball, get it done" outlook is one of the reasons why they are way ahead of the game and very successful in the transfer market.

Ajax aren't alone as quite a few interesting players have also been snapped up.

I suspect that we are still making plans about what we will do after our window opens. It doesn't seem to enter into our thinking that we can actually buy/sign players outside of the established windows, we just can't add them to our squad immediately.
