Middlesex v Lancs 50 Over Qtr Final

Lancashire have made it to the quarter final of the 50 over Royal London Cup competition and take on Middlesex at Lords today starting at 1pm.
If they get through the semi final is away against Hampshire on Sunday afternoon.
Yorkshire play against ...................... oh sorry they don't having been well and truly unqualified.

A good batting performance so far on a wicket that offered quite a bit at the start.
161-1 with Jennings 82 and Croft 65 not out after 29 overs. Let's hope we can capitalise on the good start.
Jimmy should bowl well on here.

304-4 Lancs end up.
Looks a little small with modern scores but I think they have enough. Lords is looking big with the batsman struggling to reach the boundary. The ball isn't coming on to the bat as they like and should be some seam movement early on.

Only one side chased over 300 at Lords in 50 over cricket India against England.
Middlesex highest chase there is 292.

Rather worrying. We should have scored a lot more runs after that 2nd wicket partnership, but were clear favourites after those 5 early wickets.
Just swinging in Middlesex favour if we can't get a breakthrough soon.

Good question.
Poor captaincy taking Mahmood off when he was buzzing in his first spell and his speed was not dropping.
The support bowlers were rubbish and had it not been for Anderson's run outs we would probably have lost the game.
But anyway Hampshire later this morning at Southampton which will be tough but winnable.
A bit like Arsenal.
