NORMAN'S CHIPPY

Post by Foreverly Claret » Sat May 11, 2019 10:40 am

Over the years we have been frequent visitors on match days to Norman's Chippy on Lyndhurst Road after our trip from Leeds..not the fastest at serving but great fodder and good portions .They are opening this Sunday for the last time under Cath and Norman who are then retiring...we wish them all the very best , good health and a long and happy retirement .Hope the new owners will carry on the match day tradition.

Is it still going to be called "Norman's Chippy"?

I walk past that most match days. I’ve never been tempted to go in.

Bird's on Rosegrove Lane still bears the name despite Bob having retired to Spain 40+ years ago!

I've driven past Normans chippy a few times last week, with workmen in and it looks like it's being completely stripped out, ready for being re furnished.

Always a sad day when a chippy shuts.

I feel like a little part of me has died.

fatboy47, I thinks it's going to re open as a chippy again.
Re the Park View chippy, my mate who uses it, said the owners wife is running the re opened shop, while her husband carries on his illness recovery.
