Stephen Jordan retiring.
Along with many others says Burnley was the best time of his career and the best dressing room.
Good luck to Chorley tomorrow in their playoff final.

He was crap. Way out of his depth in the championship and embarrassing in the Premier league.Jacko wrote:Liked Jordan, he did a good job for us. Wish him well.

Never got the impression he was giving less than 100%. Which is all you can ask of the player. But, yes, I think he always struggled in the PL and too often in the Championship.Top Claret wrote:He was crap. Way out of his depth in the championship and embarrassing in the Premier league.

Much better than most fans make out. He seems to get an unnecessary bashing. I thought he was very steady at Championship level but the Prem might have been a step to far for him. Was very good in the air and tou have to remember that he had Blake in front of him who hardly helped him out defensively. I remember when we signed Fox and everyone thought he was miles better than Jordan.....

Jordan - 141
If fans did think that, they weren't alone. Doesn't mean they were right of course.

"Miles better"? I'm not so sure. Jordan matured into a decent player whilst with us. Fox has been stealing a living for years now, imo.thatdberight wrote:Fox - 311 appearances at Championship or above

Re: Stephen Jordan retiring.
Did he let Theo Walcott out of his pocket before hanging up his shorts?
I remember Jordan fell into the “despise our LB, no matter what” category on our old CM website. Some of the negativity on there, regarding him, was laughable.

I’m very passionate about my dislike for Fox, I Think he’s the biggest coward I’ve seen! All he wanted to do was hurt young players in the tackle. I’ve had this conversation with him on a club in London and he laughed and agreed, the guys tit

Jordan was actually much better than he was given credit for at the time and my Mrs, for one, passionately believed he was unfairly targeted by the boo boys back then. I personally felt Fox was an inevitable upgrade and for a spell he proved it, but after he left the sinking ship his career never really took off except he made a reasonable living at Championship level and that is telling imo.

Re: Stephen Jordan retiring.
Stephen Jordan was prominent in THAT Robbie Blake goal against Manyoo.
That will do for me.
