Much praise to the ground staff. It's the end of the season and the pitch looks computer generated on that photo, it's so clean and tidy.

The pitch looks incredible. Even better than Arsenals

Remember Jimmy Armfield commenting on the view from the press gantry up there saying that he loved it because it made him think of the history of the game and how professional football started i.e. that the ground was close to the terraced houses and the surrounding community. Or words to that effect. We should never move from the Turf.

That is a mighty fine piece of Gingham mowing, truly worthy of a proud mill town.
Next job, stop people referring to the club ethos with the over used DNA buzzword and get them talking about the "fabric" of the club. Which is a much better fit for us and shows evidence of creative thinking instead of auto pilot bandwagon jumping.
Flat caps for everyone.

And lots of other commentators like to refer to the view, too, and with similar affection.
Imagine what an upper tier on the dinky BL stand would do to that view! No, not a great idea....

You could easily double the size without effecting the view.Sarum wrote:And lots of other commentators like to refer to the view, too, and with similar affection.

I guess so, Andy, if you're sat high enough in the Longside Upper. I wonder if there's anything to prevent it from actually happening, other than potential cost?

Lovely view spoilt by the long, dry grass.
