Very watchable for an end of season game.

Thought we bossed it first half, and probably should have gone in leading, but the mistake knocked us off our stride and though we rallied alright, we were really ragged after that.

Still, we are still going to be bothering the premier league next season, so job done, but we do need to maximise our recruitment this summer so we can vary it up more.

Heaton 7 good hands quick distribution -no chance goals
Lowton 7 good today and some nice passing work
Mee 6 decent enough great block,love him but he's ponderous and limited.
Tarks 7 some good blocks and i could swear his was playign upfront late on?
Taylor 6 not his best game as top sides restrict him a bit but always involved
McNeill 6 the odd touch of class but correctly subbed after a a great start to his career
Cork 6 couple of nice passes but has lost something
Westwood 6 not at his best but
Hendrick 5 thought he struggled a bit but cant fault his workrate
Barnes 7 lively and 1 for the goal
Wood 6 bit flat but no lack of effort

JBG 6 kept it lively

Needed the 1st half goal but just couldnt finish,did well to fight back and keep them at it. They took their chances very well indeed. A good last game of the season with Arsenal looking a touch boredbut ultimately far too strong when it mattered against our hard grafting rabble.

I thought we were pretty good first half and definitely SHOULD have been ahead. They were fairly poor and second half started very much the same way. THEN we f***ed up and gifted one of the top teams in the league a very easy goal and after that we were behind the 8 ball, (as they say) and it was all downhill tbh. Their killer second was tbh a great goal and finish, but we still stuck at it and after Ashley's goal Crouch really should have equalised, but his walking stick must have hampered his strike and it came to nowt. A disappointing afternoon in the end so a good job it really didn't matter.

Heaton - 6 safe handling in the area, daft handling outside it and a fine finish for the goal

Lowton - 8 top today and had iwobi moaning throughout

Tarkowski - 6 fine

Mee - 6 also fine

Taylor - 6 fine also

Cork - 6 continuing a theme here

Westwood - 6 same

Hendrick - 6 as good as the rest

McNeil - 6 average end to an excellent half season

Barnes - 6 having a laugh today

Wood - 6 unlucky with the one off the post

Bizarre that there were 6 bookings (and even moreso how they were distributed) in what was nothing more than an end of season kickabout but at least the manufactured needle added some interest.

We played alright and arsenal were pretty wack, the difference between the two sides was simply Aubameyang, who is a hell of a player.

Plenty of positives for us to build on over the summer and no distractions in pre-season so we should be able to hit the ground running.

Hi fidel, take a look at their 3rd goal. Keepers shouldn't let the ball through their legs when the attacker is out wide and shooting towards the near post.

Tom conceded that way in his England debut, also. In fact I think he was beaten twice that way that night.

Heaton 6-On TH's form in last couple of games I wouldn't be too hasty selling Pope just yet.
Lowton 7-Had a good game.
Tarkowski 7-Solid couple of good blocks.
Mee 8*-Was excellent apart from his part in the mistake leading to their 1st goal.
Taylor 5-Think the game passed him by. Was hoping for Wardy to be given a deserved cameo.
Hendrick 5-Sorry not for me. Too indecisive offensively.
Westwood 7-Normal swashbuckling performance we've come to expect from Ash.
Cork 7-Bar his part in their 1st goal with a loose pass I thought he did well.
McNeil 7-Surprised when he was taken off.
Barnes 6-Average, well marshalled by the Gunner two CB's.
Wood 5-Ok first half but no surprise for me that he was subbed.

JBG 7- Very good for time on but thought he'd have replaced or started instead of Hendrick.
Brady 5-Didn't have long enough to have any influence on the game in all fairness. Again, not a big fan but acknowledge he played well at Goodison.

Difficult to mark is this game, it was a game of 2 halfs. 1st half we were excellent bar the missed chances and the 2nd we were lucky to keep the score line down to 3.

It goes to show you shouldn't assume doesn't it

I'm a huge fan of Tom's, he's easily the best keeper in the country for me, but thought he could have done better with all 3 goals yesterday, especially the 3rd. Just glad he kept this performance for when it didn't matter - that much

The booking was a consequence of his initial mistake which was a miss-kick that gifted them possession in a dangerous area with our defence out of position, he then made an error of judgement by dashing off his line and then when he found himself out of his area (or possibly out of the area), he gambled and used his hand rather than sliding in with his feet. So 3 errors in the first minute. (Not fully focused?? There's a lot on your mind straight after kick-off as captain).
Beyond that he was generally sound, but didn't cover himself in glory for their 3rd.

Cork had one of his worst games for us, several passes going astray. Hendrick did nothing wrong all afternoon but some folk have a down on him. Can’t understand it.

Rather meaningless raw statistic tbh, since it really all depends in what areas of the field they were made; whether they were forwards, sideways or backwards; short , medium or long; simple or incisive, (or even decisive, as Cork's assist for the first goal was)
