pretty meaningless match, but somehow Arsenal still managed to wind me up. Think it's in their DNA for some reason to be annoying. As for Matteo Guendouzi, what an arse he is

The Barnes incident really wound me up, terrible officiating
Re: REPORT: Arsenal take the points yet again
That first Arsenal goal was a bit of deja vu from our last home game in 2018-Kevin Long slipped for Defoe to race on and Callum Wilson to finish and win 2-1. Think it was almost in the same place too.

Great game to finish with. How could the assault on Barnes not have been seen?
Maybe it was, in that case how did it go unpunished?

Match of the Day went into it in fine detail ...............NOT !!!!!
Just shows the weakness of the punditry "No one likes us" etc etc
Has anyone got access to video of it?
Don't even think VAR would have been used but hopefully I'm wrong. Why do we even bother to have officials running the line or even rules of the game when the "Big Six" seem immune from scrutiny?

It was shown on the Sky coverage and when the yellow card came out for Barnes, Gary Birtles shouted WHAT? in total disbelief.chorleyhere wrote:Match of the Day went into it in fine detail ...............NOT !!!!!

I think VAR would have been used because it's a clear penalty. Dean didn't see the incident and went off his lino.

Their third goal was missing until it deflected off Heaton's leg and should've been classed as an own goal.

I thought it might have been, but they don't have a dubious goals panel now, it's up to the clubs to appeal if they think it has been wrongly awarded. I don't think either club will. Unless Spurs try to claim it for Harry Kane to try and get him the golden boot.Stan Tastic wrote:Their third goal was missing until it deflected off Heaton's leg and should've been classed as an own goal.

I reckon Barnes got booked for his aggressive reaction, just like he did v Southampton.ClaretTony wrote:It was shown on the Sky coverage and when the yellow card came out for Barnes, Gary Birtles shouted WHAT? in total disbelief.

Clear ungentlemanly conduct by the keeper, probably, by the definition of the laws, it may have been a penalty but goalkeepers can get away with almost anything against Ashley!
