Doris Day - RIP

Post by ClaretTony » Mon May 13, 2019 2:25 pm

The wonderful Doris Day has passed away today at the age of 97. She might never have been to Wembley but:

I have always loved Doris Day. As a child I wanted to become Doris Day when I grew up. It never happened :-(

RIP Doris. You've left me a lifetime of memories.

Random fact - she initially refused to sing that, suggesting it was a children's sort of song. Then she went ahead and sang it, under pressure and did it in one take before saying that would be the last time anybody would hear it again.

Thought she was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. Can still remember my utter disappointment when I saw a picture of the real Calamity Jane.

God Bless DD , rip

A beautiful lady, who, after her Hollywood career was over, devoted her life to animal conservation.
