3rd O.D.I England/Pakistan:Bristol

Post by tiger76 » Tue May 14, 2019 3:29 pm

England won toss and inserted, the tourists going well 188-4 with 19 overs left.

Imam nearing a century.

Denly and Tom Curran in for Buttler and Rashid, can only guess they want to assess some WC prospects.

Another runfest, Bairstow a ton, Roy 70+, an unequal contest between bat and ball.
Sixes were a rarity when I was a kid! :D

It will get to the stage where bowlers will refuse to play.

Bowling machines serving the batsman will be next.

And i thought Buttler might be missed,on this destructive form England are unbeatable,a target of 360 and still 5 overs to spare, however if they don't win this summer's WC questions will rightly be asked about the mentality of the squad.

The ICC will prepare pitches suited to India despite it being in England.

Even if they do Rashid will come into play on turning strips,if England play to standard they'll be hard to stop this year,my only worry is now and then a batting collapse will come along,it happened in the West Indies, and if it happens in a KO game this great run of white ball form will count for nothing.

Eoin Morgan banned from Friday's ODI https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/48283052 wonder who'll skip,Root or Bairstow.

Seriously how can you take nearly 4 hours to bowl 50 overs, come on even allowing for wickets drinks breaks etc, that is farcical.

Hmm. Might this have happened on purpose so that he doesn’t have the threat of a ban hanging over his head once the WC begins?

Has anything been said about Jonny Bairstow smashing his wickets over?

Two game ban in local cricket.

Jonny Bairstow, whose 93-ball 128 helped the hosts canter to a supposedly imposing target of 359 with 5.1 overs to spare, has also received an official reprimand and a demerit point on his record for hitting the stumps with his bat after being dismissed....
