Boris didn't exactly follow Norman Tebbits advice about getting on your bike to find work but he did supply the bikes.Boris Bikes will be the former MP for Henleys legacy.

Quite what the above means ? apart from bottom lip quivering left wing rage I’ve no idea . Or are you suggesting Johnson should have no truck with being British because he was born in America ? Like a dog born in a barn should be a horse perhaps .

America has Trump and we may get Boris.

Unbelievable how people like the above gravitate towards politics, and even more unbelievable how the electorate allow it to happen.

One of the many reasons why the world has endured turmoil and always will.

Boris will be installed by the Tory Conference in September. He'll be gone by Christmas having spaffed up again as he usually does.

Not likely to last until Christmas. If he does get elected Tory leader there's almost certain to be a vote of confidence in the Commons which he will lose, and unless there's a weird "Boris bounce" in the country as a whole he won't be able to get a majority in the subsequent election.

I would argue he’s more of a lying, cheating tosser than most politicians.

There are moments when it might be possible to like Boris Johnson
or be able to smile at some of his statements/utterances.
But to consider him worthy of the top post in the country is verging
on insane. The lefties won't need to do much to smear him.
In fact they won't need to do much at all.
He'll do it all by himself.

If he gets in (the polls might put him ahead but a lot of Tories know he will be a disaster), we’ll see a remarkable press campaign to disinfect and elevate him.

I agree that he can be likeable and funny in ways, but those aren’t the prerequisites for the job of PM.
