Crouch

Post by redwasp » Sat May 18, 2019 11:23 am

He was on the Graham Norton Show last night. Not saying he is dull but even Norton himself didn't turn up  . Seriously he's a good bloke and must be the first Burnley player to appear on a late night talk show.

Was the club mentioned at all, or was it never brought up?

Jimmy Mac never been on the Late Late show over the pond? That would be my bet. Or maybe Wright during his spell?

Ian Wright was on the Jerry Springer Show, an ITV talk show... he wasn’t finding out his wife was a man or anything like that.

He had a show called Friday Night’s All Wright but I think that might’ve been axed before he joined Burnley.

His show was still on when he signed. Pete Tong who was also on the show introduced him as "Ian Wright...MBE... Massive Burnley Enthusiast"

**I have no idea how or why I remember this, when I can't even remember what I had for my tea last night.

Maybe you missed your tea, Transpennine?

I saw a little of Crouchie on GN last night. I've no idea whether Burnley was mentioned - or Crouchie's contract plans. ;)

You beat me to it, I remember that very thing too. I was so excited to tune in to see a Burnley player hosting his own TV show. Surreal times after I'd never even heard of 90% of our signings up to then!

Not by Crouch but JW did mention 'Burnley' in the same disparaging way as 'Stoke' after referring to his career with England and Liverpool.

Jack Whitehall, he hosted the show in place of Graham Norton (he's in Tel Aviv doing the Eurovision thing)
