Hi, didn’t want to spoil your Dads health thread with a question and am so pleased after the encouraging update yesterday.
As it is personal you can ignore or tell me to do one.
I’m almost sure I remember Willie spending the night before matches in a hotel, for a short while, because of losing sleep to a new baby in the house. Could you confirm, please.
I bring it up as I was thinking on Ben Mee’s poor early season performances and he had a baby in the house

Re: FAO CTID
Hi TT.
No worries about asking the question. Nearly right, he used to stay at an old couples house across the road on Eastern Ave where he was living at the time. There is a paper cutting at home from the Daily Mirror dated Feb 1968 which tells the tale of the 8 month old baby that kept him awake etc as you rightly remembered.
I can also confirm that I was born in June 1967

Re: FAO CTID
Since the OP I’ve read on twitter that the Lowton household had a new born as well.
No wonder we were dire before Xmas.
