I don’t watch it on telly, it’s a different sport to men’s football and for me, not as entertaining.

The women playing at the top level should all be admired for their determination to get there and I hope they inspire as many other girls and women to take up the sport.

I’ve never felt as though any sport is ‘rammed down my throat’. Watch something else. The opinion of fat, unsuccessful and angry men as regards women’s football probably isn’t of huge concern to the female athletes playing a game they love.

I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it. When I have, bits look OK, but then you see another goalkeeping blunder etc and think wtf and give up. I see from the clip that diving is now part of the game.

But compared to the other events mentioned on here i am more likely to watch our under 16's, hockey, mens or womens, bowls, or the superbowl (which is generally the worst US football game to watch as it has extra advert stoppages).

I am more likely to watch women's football than basketball, any sort of wrestling, darts, snooker, boxing or tennis.

It’s not my cup of tea but I’ve caught bits of the women’s football show which I think is on after MOTD2. The skill level seems pretty high to me, as others have mentioned though almost every goal seems to include horrendous goalkeeping. I’m sure it’s a part of the game that will progress.

I’m not bothered about the exposure on TV, in the same way that I can ignore Ski Sunday or the London Marathon. I do find some of the advertising misleading though; England v Kosovo was being advertised on the pitch side boards during the FA Cup final yesterday and it took me some time to see the ‘Lionesses’ in small print. Almost intentionally misleading.

Cos of course you would see a save of the quality of Edersons to keep it nil nil or even the one for the lucky 5th goal on to the post. You really can’t compare goalkeeping in the sports because women’s goalkeeping is beyond laughable

I do think they suffer from playing in full sized nets, unfortunately. There aren't too many female goalkeepers who are six foot plus, so as the standard of the outfield players gets better, it becomes much easier for them to just stick it in a spot where the 5ft6 goalie can't reach it.

I think it would definitely help to reduce the net height by about 2 ft and the width by about 4 ft. Think it would serve 2 purposes, to improve the keepers and also the outfield players would need to improve in terms of accuracy...

I'd struggle to get em out of the Box.

Go to the BBC Sport Website > Football > Fixtures and Results and type Women’s Championship into the search bar and look at the results over the months - 5-1, 6-0, 9-0 etc. There’s bigger thrashings in the FA Cup.

The BBC has its agenda of course, and very little in terms of quality sport, but there's no harm in them promoting the girls' game. It is a bit confusing when they announce 'Chelsea are playing Arsenal' without explaining it's the ladies, but it's no big deal.

It's good to get the likes of Alex Scott on the panels though - you don't have to play for a Premier League team (mens ) to know what you're talking about.

This sums it up... it’s fair that it getting the exposure and it inspires people, especially women to get into sport... but no-one is watching it.

I watch the Premier League and Burnley highlights/live games whenever possible when not in the top flight.
That's enough football for me.

Women's football is great, I quite enjoyed the last world cup. But in the same way I don't watch Scottish or Italian football I probably won't watch women's either, just not enough hours in the day. Maybe some outlets are pushing it but given it's had zero airtime until a few years ago that's no bad thing at all. I hope it continues to grow.

It's a chicken and egg situation. Things don't improve without attention being given to it.

I've watched a bit of women's football (live and on tv, some with bumper crowds) and found it fairly enjoyable. I'm sure I'll watch a fair bit of the upcoming world cup and am happy that it will be on terrestrial TV so it will be easier to watch. I can't say I've noticed it being "pushed down my throat". There's a 30 minutes highlight show that's on at about midnight and it occasionally gets trailed (as does snooker, the boat race, marathon, horse racing, bowling, curling, etc some of which I have zero interest in but understand that's how tv works).

I don't really get the complaints that it's not as good as top level men's football so what's the point of it. The Championship, League One and League Two aren't as good as the Premier League but still have plenty of coverage and people watching.

It's not as if women's football is a new thing that is just being pushed by millennials in these politically correct times (hopefully enough buzzwords for the snowflakes there). It was getting crowds of 50,000 in the 1920s and may well have continued with great success if the FA hadn't got scared and banned it.

I'd agree about the goalkeeping. It's probably partly a side effect of smaller keepers in full size goals and also that errors are much more obvious when keepers make them but I suspect the issue will be overcome with increased levels of professionalism and training.

I've never watched a women's match but if the World Cup is on terrestrial telly at a reasonable hour then I'll give it a watch. Helps that England are one of the top ranked sides.

Got laughed at about 5 short years ago when I asked the question on here ( or wherever it was) whether a female footballer would play in a top class footie team in my lifetime.

Not seen anything to change my opinion.

I think I have changed my views on life in the last five years substantially and would now encourage others to see the light!

Caught a fair amount of France v Korea last night. France were very good. Some talented players out there that's for sure. Have the technique it's juts the strength. Already mentioned that the keepers are terrible though which doesn't help.

It's impossible due to a couple of things.

1) The power of male athletes means it could be dangerous, especially with two footed challenges etc.

2) When there is jostling in the box at corners players often have their hands on an opponent. Where would you draw the line with regards to where can you touch a woman?

For those of you struggling to understand that you're not the only person who watches TV and that TV stations don't decide on what to broadcast based entirely on what you want to watch. In France nearly 10 million people watched their team's game against South Korea.

So, i guess there is a market for it. Just because you're not a part of it doesn't mean it's being forced on you.

I watched the first half, but it really annoyed me.

What annoyed me was the refereeing and the commentator.

China weren't 'over physical', they were just getting stuck in as you would expect from an underdog in a World Cup.

There was a brilliant sliding tackle made in Germany's left wing position by one of the Chinese lasses. The ball was won cleanly and the German lass wasn't even touched during the tackle. A foul was given.
