So thats why the bets dived in on Italy... 21/1 to 4/1 in an hour.

Someone knew it was going to do well / win.

Can't see us winning now. Been looking at the audience camera shots, haven't seen any close-ups of Jeremy Corbyn. Is he there?

I think Nigel Farage singing Who do you think you are kidding Mr Hitler would have been the only worst selection.

The public vote is brutal

I had the Czech Republic right up there @150/1 ,until the public gave them 7 points :D

Before anyone starts, we're automatically allowed into the finals because of the amount we contribute to the " EBU ", the Europe-wide broadcasting organisation ..... the Eurpeans take all this dreadfully seriously, whilst we, in our British way, just laugh at the politicised voting, the crap music and Graham Norton's " funnies " ... They should stick it on BBC 4 ..

Meanwhile, in the real world, British " Pop " music outsells any other Country in the world apart from the United States ...

Finally, where are all the people who complain about " Grid girls " in Formula 1, " Walk on girls " at the Darts, and " Cheerleaders " in the NFL .... surely there's no need to wear those revealing outfits, it should be about the Music, after all ?? ;) ;)

I’ve never understood the point of this event for this very reason, even back in the days when we got a fair crack of the whip.

I'm guessing that there is a bit of a bias against the teams that buy their way into the final. 3 of the 5 and Israel that got a bye finished in the bottom 5 or 6.

If it was football I'd naturally hate that concept and want those teams to get beat.

Politics, plus the fact that the song was average at best, with nothing catchy that is needed to win. As someone mentioned on the news earlier this morning, we enter X Factor / The Voice type songs, and Eurovision does best with cheesy euro pop type music.

Our song wasn't even the best of the "You decide" programme that was shown earlier this year. There was another that was much more suited to Eurovision, so it was no surprise we came last, even just based on the song.

Aye, it was just a dreadful song and deservedly finished last.

Don’t think the bias against countries automatically through theory carries much weight as Italy did very well. The problem is that some songs are already well established across Europe therefore audiences are familiar with it, which was the case with the Netherlands that’s been viewed/streamed millions of times. Gives an unfair advantage.

I actually think recent winners have moved away from the classic cheesy pop music to more understated, alternative type tracks, like this year and the guy who won for Portugal a couple of years back (a song I really liked). Our song had absolutely nothing going for it backed up by a singer who looked like somebody doing a few numbers in the local pub.

Why doesn't the UK give this charade a swerve now? Our music industry surely doesn't need this nonsense....

It’s a shame Madonna wasn’t in it, we’d only have come second last.

That's the good part about it. Watch it with the volume off.
