Last time I was there we had a picnic in the Dom.
My Nans doing. On being queried she said “It’s the house of God and if he was here he’d feed you.”

Re: Cologne
The catheral is immense and really impressive but what else is there there. Thought it was a pretty dull city and they only give you beers in 0,2l glasses; one swig and it's finished!!

Lots of bullet holes from the war in the buildings, nice river, great barges and the Museum Ludwig is a big art gallery, stunning cathedral.

Yes a coupe of times. I agree it is a wonderful city. I went on the "underground" walking tour which was very interesting.EK Claret wrote:Hi Currently having a weekend break here, great city has anyone been? Thoughts? UTC
The Dom is mightily impressive.
Re: Cologne
My dad visited Koln briefly. He didn't really like it. He went with around 7,000 other people on May the 30th - seventy-seven years ago.

Last time I was in Cologne was for England v Sweden. I was lying in bed kept awake by “oh Burnley is wonderful” from a bar outside.
