Letting them off the hook by the sound of things and other scores in both leagues suggest it is a p**s poor batting day

Worcs in the ascendancy now. Poor from Lancashire after having them at 30 odd for 7.

Strange day of cricket, brilliant morning session then let Worcs amass at least 50 too many, then a reasonable start with the bat,and then those final 2 wickets give Worcs the slight edge, bearing in mind Lancs have to bat fourth.

Pleasing from an Ashes POV to see Jimmy fit and firing after his injury, frustrating for Hameed he got a platform and then got out.

At this rate if the weather stays fair day 3 will see a conclusion one way or the other.

Worcs 54-3 in their 2nd dig, leading by only 25,Lancs 201 all out, important 6th wicket partnership of nearly a 100 between Livingstone and Vilas,Lancs should win from here but we don't want to be chasing anything over 150 given the lack of runs in the match thus far.

Could have done with keeping the target under 100 given how wickets are falling in this match.

We are a wicket down already. 8/1 after 2 overs.

Another gone. Poor batting, nothing in the pitch, no swing. Just straight bowling and batsmen missing.

We need a top class batsman to replace Joe Burns. If there's any available now.

Just under half the runs needed with just over half the wickets remaining. Should make for an interesting finish.

Vilas digs us out time and time again. We desperately need to improve with the bat. Our bowling attack however, is different gravy!

Good win but a club that needs to get itself together. A chief exec more interested in how much profit the club can make than results on the field, a director of cricket getting into arguments with members, the Cumbria fiasco and the ex captain arguing with supporters on Twitter

I would have thought that was the chief exec’s job. Who’s the ex captain?

Ah thanks. Bet Lytham, Blackpool & Southport weren't too pleased with that news (I'm presuming they were overlooked)

Livingstone let it be known very strongly that his football favours are with a team who play in blue & white halves. He set himself up nicely ahead of our League Cup tie at Ewood.

Lancs, through Paul Allott, said there were pitch problems at Southport and at Blackpool it is drainage and poor dressing room facilities.

But to use Sedburgh, which is actually within the Yorkshire Dales, is a nonsense.

Sedbergh is handy for me, though!

To be fair, the club are laying on free transport from Manchester, and free shuttle buses from Oxenholme railway station to Sedbergh and back.

Given the standard of batting in the County Championship do we still need 4 day matches?
Spent 2 days at the Riverside watching Durham and Gloucester, poor cricket with feeble batting. I don't think anyone made 50 and 3 division 2 games including Lancs finished in less than 3 days. It is no wonder that England have difficulty finding test class batsmen with Vince and Ballance amongst the best, je despair!

Are any of the larger Lancashire league grounds (Ramsbottom, Haslingden etc) not capable of being an outground? Guessing their facilities might not be suitable?
