Steven Caldwell on Radio Lancs

Post by Beehole67 » Mon May 20, 2019 10:08 pm

I thought Steven Caldwell was good on radio Lancs tonight. Some good insight and I still remember him hugging Barry Kilby before lifting the trophy.:)

Well done for him in carving out a post football playing career.Never one of my favourite cbs a little slow and hesitant at tackling.

I remember watching a reserve fixture at Accy Stanley against Hull I think it was, and Jay broke his foot.

Lee Roche went on a crazy run down the wing but as we all know he didn't have the brain to go around people so used to try and run through them, all you could hear in a strong Scottish accent was Caldwell screaming 'LEE, LEE, LEE...… WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU DOING' as he lost the ball on the half way line

I thought Lee Roche left about 2 years before Caldwell arrived?

Up there with Dobson, Pender(twice), Davis, Shackell, and Heaton(twice) as Captains who have led us to Promotion in my time watching(too young to have seen Dobbo do it the first time). He’ll always be special to me.

Steven Caldwell was here from Jan 2007 to summer 2010 and Lee Roche from summer 2003 to summer 2005.

I think he might be thinking of Richard Eckersley who was at Burnley from summer 2009 to January 2012.

Apparently Eckersley packed in the football in his mid-late 20s and now runs a vegan supermarket down South.
