Mears is 36 but you have to deduct the ten years Bolton are ahead of us making him 26 in their eyes

Amazing that the only comment is about one typo which was duly corrected

Long is a strange one, he did so well at Brentford in the Championship but has just gone backwards since then.

He only got one start with us and that was at Cardiff. He was bloody awful. When you look at his record at Brentford though, he only started two games, got another eight sub appearances but did score four goals.

Ross Wallace at 33 and a good career in the game only reaching 350 appearances soon, makes Grezza's record of a 1000 games even more impressive.

I see Josh McQuoid (remember him?) Has extended his stay at National South Weymouth. He's still only 29.

Can't remember an awful lot about him. Seem to think he had some ability but possibly questionable attitude. Some fall from grace anyway.

Scored a wonder goal at Doncaster but that was about it. Nowhere near good enough for the Championship.

Long is a (very) poor man's Jeffers.

And, yes, please continue to keep us updated, Tony. Some of us appreciate what you do.

I was wondering recently where Alex MacDonald was. I've just seen he's still at Mansfield.

Alex missed quite a bit of the season because of knee surgery but is fully fit now and played in their play off games

Leaving Burnley really didn't go well for Tyrone Mears. I saw him playing for Atlanta in the USA when I caught a match at Orlando - I hadn't known he was there until the players names/pictures came up on the scoreboard - and interested in how/why he'd ended up there I did a Google search the following day. What amazed me the most was seeing his salary - MLS Clubs must publish the salaries they pay to all players, I think it might be because they have a squad salary cap? - and was amazed to discover that TM was earning just short of $130,000, not per week or even month, that was for the year! By comparison the BFC pay-scale looks quite generous.
