C4 9pm this Thursday (tonight). A great watch if you haven't seen it before. The first free solo climb of 3200ft El Capitan in Yosemite National Park without ropes or any safety gear. Not for the fainthearted or for people who don't like heights! Enjoy.

Brilliant film...such a talented free climber...absolute nerves of steel...made me sick just watching him.
Also does great charitable work with the cash he has made from climbing.

Great documentary. If you enjoy this then give The Dawn Wall and Valley Uprising a watch. In fact I’d recommend watching them in the following order; Valley Uprising, The Dawn Wall and Free Solo.

Don't think that I'd even be able to just stand on the top and look down, nevermind climbing it with no ropes, helmet etc!

touching cloth or whatever it was called wasn't a good climbing film, book was decent though, the one about the two lads climbing and one cut his mates rope to survive.

I thought he came across as a rather strange bloke. didn't seem a happy chappy whatever he was up to.

There's a fine line between brave and stupid and I think, personally, that he crossed that line.
