Manchester Arena bomb
It's the anniversary today.
Spare a thought for the families that lost loved ones, whose lives will never be the same, in the appalling atrocity.

I hope he is kept locked up in a small cell for those 55 years: that should give him plenty of time to contemplate the results of his actions.
Re: Manchester Arena bomb
55 years? Nowhere near long enough!
I hope he gets his head kicked in every single day of those 55 years

Glad the families have seen some justice, although it will be little comfort.

He should have been forced to face the victims families in court not allowed some human right bxxxxxxs to allow him to remain in his cell during sentencing

Nearer to what you'd see in the USA, although they'd have had life without parole. But we do, IMO, need to get nearer to the States in terms of punishment. We're too light on the majority.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Thu Aug 20, 2020 2:09 pmWOW. Pretty strong that. Deserved. But very strong! Re: Manchester Arena bomb
Surely there are some crimes that are so appalling that whatever the age the guilty should never see the light of day and this is one of them.
Still a minimum of 55 years is one hell of a sentence which the taxpayer will fund at great expense even including his appeals against the sentencing.
A cyanide pill left in his room for him to use when he feels he has had enough wouldn't be a bad idea. No I am not serious on that part, but on reflection it is not a bad idea.

Re: Manchester Arena bomb
The cost of keeping this type of prisoner in a uk Jail is currently 90k a year
Time's that by 55 years and it works out around 5 million if the cost don't go up, but in reality it will probably work out at 50 million to keep this piece of shite locked up
Cheaper option is a couple of quid for a bullet.

Re: Manchester Arena bomb
Hopefully the scumbag will live to endure every single day of those 55 years (though I suspect he won't)
Wonder if reality has sunk in for him yet?
Does he still kid himself that his actions and those of his murdering coward of a brother were worth what is now the utterly futile and hopefully terrifying existence he now faces every day for the rest of his miserable life?

He will still be able to get down on his knees and pray every day after tucking into his halal meal. Other like minded religious nut cases will surround him and make sure no harm comes to him whilst he answers his fan mail.
Death penalty is the only way forward for these scumbags.

Re: Manchester Arena bomb
Entirely agree. The very fact that we couldn’t give this **** a full life term because of his age is a complete disgrace. We have gone totally soft on crime.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Thu Aug 20, 2020 2:11 pmNearer to what you'd see in the USA, although they'd have had life without parole. The 55 years is a good headline sentence but it should have been life and in a very, very unpleasant prison with no luxuries whatsoever. When you see the ages of those whose lives they butchered, it makes you sick.
You can punch or bite a policeman In this country and get a £100 fine. I’d lock them up for 12 months.

Entirely agree. In these extreme circumstances the death penalty is the only fair punishment both to the victims families and tax payer.karatekid wrote: ↑Thu Aug 20, 2020 8:58 pmHe will still be able to get down on his knees and pray every day after tucking into his halal meal. Unfortunately, even though he may be put on some wishful 'deradicalisation program' this guy will most likely be idolised and cared for by the many like-minded inmates already there and he will soon become a very effective weapon for Islamism by practicing prison dawah to the new converts who have 'reverted' to Islam in prison for an easy ride ....these useful idiots will be of low IQ stock and easy to radicalise.
If he shows signs of doing this he should be put in solitary for the rest of his term.
