Suppose it depends who you talk to then, I live a stones throw away and most I talk to like it, I have my own favourites that I stick by and I’ve only been the once, it was decent enough thoughtim_noone wrote:I'm Local....it isn't.

Re: Babar elephant fence.
Thought this was about some sort of new fencing featuring Babar the Elephant, wasn't sure how it would look though but it could catch on eventually,if this sort of fencing ever came to fruition I think I would go for something different than Elephants, but that's just me,....is it about Elephant fencing or something else,I'm a bit confused.
Re: Babar elephant fence.
Last we had from Jaipur wasn't great, after it had been decent beforehand.
I haven't been to the Foulridge Four Elephants but it always looks dead when I drive past. Think themed music nights keep them going, but I'd prefer to be going for the food than seeing a Robbie Williams tribute. I also had one of the weirdest dining experiences ever at Babar in Fence.
For takeaway some friends introduced us to Asha in Brierfield and bloody hell, that place is good if you like a proper curry. We've dropped our usual place (Adams) for it, and haven't had a meal yet which dipped below excellent.

Haha. Our meal had been fine, then a waiter who we hadn't seen previously came to clear our table. He offered us nightcaps on the house, so we obliged, but he kept on pouring and pouring drink after drink and necking any that we didn't want. He then started trying to stroke my face. All the while we were waiting for our bill which the (normal) waiters were trying to get made up, but they were having problems with the till.
This bloke was hammered, but none of the other staff said anything about it. So weird.

Asha used to be my go-to for around 10 years. Always top notch and 5 star hygiene rating. Then the Currys dipped and now has an hygiene rating of 1 so i think ownership has changed.Walton wrote:Last we had from Jaipur wasn't great, after it had been decent beforehand.

You can't beat Aaisha and Premier curries in Burnley for a good takeaway.
