Season tickets
Just some quick questions if anyone has the answers please.
When are they due to go back on sale?
Have the prices been released yet?
Do we know how many we have sold so far?

Re: Season tickets
The ticket office is closed for a few weeks now. I'd assumed that they were, as previously announced, returning to the area at the back of the club shop where plans had been shown for an enclosed queuing area, but I've since learned that's not the case. They are making changes to the existing one up the ramp which will allow you to go inside.Goobs wrote:Just some quick questions if anyone has the answers please.

The info given was that it would be closed for a number of weeks from Monday of last week so I would suspect around end of June. That's when the season tickets will go back on sale and the prices will be announced ahead of that.
Numbers sold? Never so sure why it has to be so secretive but the club no longer publish that sort of information.

Re: Season tickets
That's what I've heard since. Having said that, it was crap having to go round the back of there and I don't think there's room for them now with the club shop having extended into that area. I'll reserve judgement but if I don't have to be outside and don't have to bend to buy a ticket then I'll be fine with it.randomclaret2 wrote:So there will be no 'new ' Ticket Office as per the plans for the new corner stand ?

Thanks Tony I'll take another look in June then.ClaretTony wrote:The ticket office is closed for a few weeks now. Hoping they don't go up too much.
I'M assuming that the free child tickets will no longer be available in the JMU though?

I don't know what the prices were last year but I would suspect they are likely to be kept at the same price.Goobs wrote:Thanks Tony I'll take another look in June then.

Re: Season tickets
Went past the “ramp office” the other day and had a quick glance. I could see the new ticket windows inside that building now.
No more bad backs folks!!!

I think I’m right in saying that offer was withdrawn and they’re trying to phase the free tickets out as the children get older.Goobs wrote:I'M assuming that the free child tickets will no longer be available in the JMU though?

Re: Season tickets
On a slightly different note, albeit stiĺl on ground improvements, I notice the new corner block on the other side now has "THE LONGSIDE " emblazoned across its facia
Re: Season tickets
Nice, should liven up the Gray cladding.randomclaret2 wrote:On a slightly different note, albeit stiĺl on ground improvements, I notice the new corner block on the other side now has "THE LONGSIDE " emblazoned across its facia
I bet its come on leaps and bounds this last few weeks, it was looking all but done v Arsenal.
Any pictures will be appreciated.
Re: Season tickets
It’s just looks like they have plonked a big black box in corner, doesn’t match any previous development, personally, you would think they would of carried on with the same cladding and colours as the recently built club shop
Re: Season tickets
They'll be a logical reason I'm sure, whether that be financial, advised or meaning future work will follow suits who knows.Turfytop wrote:It’s just looks like they have plonked a big black box in corner, doesn’t match any previous development, personally, you would think they would of carried on with the same cladding and colours as the recently built club shop

Re: Season tickets
So basically you are saying that there is a reason for everything but you don't always know the reason?MACCA wrote:They'll be a logical reason I'm sure, whether that be financial, advised or meaning future work will follow suits who knows.
Seems fair. Pretty much the same sort of statement my wife makes when we are looking for something that has gone missing "well it has to be somewhere!"
Re: Season tickets
I can put my opinion forward or guess the reason, but people don't like when you say probably financial.Goobs wrote:So basically you are saying that there is a reason for everything but you don't always know the reason?

A guy got his head bit off for saying X work was done on the cheap, even though it clearly had been.
I'll save myself the hassle of having to answer or point out the obvious to a few of my keen followers.

Re: Season tickets
Ticket office is staying where itbis but its been expanded inside and you will be able to go inside. Physical ticket office is now closed. Unsure why that means you cant buy / renew online mind...
Re: Season tickets
I hope future work doesn’t follow suit, I can’t believe burnley council gave them planning permission to use that black cladding, it looks in my opinion awfulMACCA wrote:They'll be a logical reason I'm sure, whether that be financial, advised or meaning future work will follow suits who knows.

Re: Season tickets
I can’t see how they’ve created enough space for a reasonable sized ticket office and waiting area inside to be honest? When they moved it around the back you could see the plans that we anticipated larger crowds, longer queues, and I thought the idea was to have a reasonable area under cover?
So basically now everybody is stood outside in the rain just like the old ticket office if you’re queuing for away tickets etc, other than half a dozen at the front?
This was the plan.

Don't understand why you can't buy your tickets in the club shop close season. Not as if it's gonna be packed.

Re: Season tickets
Was down at the Turf today and got to I'm not a fan of the exterior either tbf... could do with a crest on or something to make it look at least a bit of football stadium. It just looks bland.

On a different note, I’ve closed my bank account where by direct debit comes out of, I’ve emailed the direct debit email address but not got a reply yet. Will the ticket office be open before June’s payment?

You could ring the freefone ticket office number. Think Tony has it.PaintYorkClaretnBlue wrote:On a different note, I’ve closed my bank account where by direct debit comes out of, I’ve emailed the direct debit email address but not got a reply yet. Re: Season tickets
Just thought of another question. Can you still pay by DD if you purchase a season ticket when they go back on sale?

Don't think so once the early bird has ended.

Cheers. May have to wait until next season then. Serves me right for not getting myself sorted earlier.claretonthecoast1882 wrote:Don't think so once the early bird has ended.

Think its because its a 12 month rolling deal and first payments have been taken, check though as I may not be correct but that's how I understood it

Re: Season tickets
Got a feeling your right as seem to remember something from last year but will double check when the prices come out. Failing that I'll just put the money away each month and then I can just buy outright next season and avoid any issuesclaretonthecoast1882 wrote:Think its because its a 12 month rolling deal and first payments have been taken, check though as I may not be correct but that's how I understood it

Re: Season tickets
The club shop works on a different system so they wouldn't be able to transact a ticket sale from the terminals in there.Murger wrote:Don't understand why you can't buy your tickets in the club shop close season. Not as if it's gonna be packed.

Re: Season tickets
That was a credit agreement with Zebra finance. We stopped using them, thankfully given this summer's news, a few years ago when we introduced the direct debit system.Quickenthetempo wrote:There used to be a 10 month or 9 month option not sure if it's still available.
