Alistair Campbell expelled from the Labour Party
For admitting he voted for the Lib Dems in last week's European election.

Re: Alistair Campbell expelled from the Labour Party
The Labour party is really unelectable.
I know so many staunch, dyed in the wool socialists who have said they could never vote for them again whilst Corbyn and momentum are pulling the strings.
Expelling Campbell will just push even more centrist leaning Labour voters to desert the party.
Oblivion beckons.

I’ve no idea what Labour BELIEVE in nowadays. They have twisted and changed policies purely in hope of winning an election.

In truth they’ve probably done him a favour
Labour are dead and at least 10 years away from winning any election now - incredible when you think of the state the Tories are in, and that they’ve been in opposition for nearly 10 years

If there's any evidence he once cheered a Rovers goal maybe we could expel him as a Claret too?

I'm a Labour member (although recently I've been considering packing it in) and I voted Green in the EU elections. I'm Pro-Remain and Labour's stance on Brexit is inconsistent with mine, whereas the Greens isn't.
Reckon they'll force Claret Tony to disclose my email address so they can cross-reference and expel me too?

Corbyn should be kicked out.He has destroyed all the gains made when Labour was in government and made the chances of another Labour win impossible.
Sucking up ro Thersa was unforgivable as is the nonsense of another referendum
The majority including me voted to leave the EEC
I am just gutted its taking far too long to go.

Some proper hot takes on here from the usual suspects.
I mean lads, in takes about five minutes of googling to see what this is about, and its absolutely nothing to do with Campbell voting for the Lib Dems.

Re: Alistair Campbell expelled from the Labour Party
I have just emailed Mr C, asking for hom to reinstate Mr C and sort those who are bringing the party into disrepute.
When he has done that, I have asked him to resign, as he has bungled every decision.

The residents of the metropolitan London Borough of Ivory Towers really are having a tough time aren't they!
Campbell and his war criminal chum, Toxic Tony, will spin this as not actually being expelled but being given the opportunity to concentrate on their evangelical quest to save the plebs from themselves and stop democracy.

What I do think though, is that AC is man with few principles other than those of political opportunism ( admittedly not on his own there ).
He will have timed this to cause maximum damage to the party he purports to support, and I've no doubt there will be some perceived furtherance of his media career at the forefront of his thinking.
Campbell, imo, was a fundamental part of the biggest lost opportunity we've ever known in this country...and hes done as much as anyone, including the Bliars and Mandelsons, to further the cause of the powerful, elite and corrupt of the nation, whilst in around 10 years involved in Labour's Leadership did next to nothing to benefit ordinary vulnerable people.
The media love him and will give him all the attention he craves....he p1sses in the same pot after all.

As for the thread subject, even if Campbell wasn’t a right-wing spin merchant, openly and very publicly declaring that one voted for a rival party is enough to get anyone suspended.
