He has the face of the 70yr old Jagger with the body and complexion of a boy whose mummy didn’t let him play outdoors .

Refreshingly honest

Which is why he has no chance, the last thing the Conservative members want is someone who is honest.

Reportedly only in the race to elevate Gove as a compromise/unity candidate (he's expected to drop out at some point and back Gove) which is a shame because Stewart seems quite level headed and thoughtful, and judging by his career and life outside of politics he seems a bit overqualified, if anything. Seriously, read his wikipedia if you haven't. He's had some life.

He certainly has...his book "The places in between" about his walk across Afghanistan, is well worth reading.

Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?
Rory Stewart

"If you want my body and you think I'm sexy
Come on, sugar, tell me so
If you really need me, just reach out and touch me
Come on, honey, tell me so
He's acting shy, looking for an answer
Come on, honey, let's spend the night together
Now hold on a minute before we go much further
Give me a dime so I can phone my mother
They catch a cab to his high-rise apartment
At last…"

He seems quite competent, and actually has some experience of the real world, unlike a lot of politicians. Unfortunately the Tories would rather have Boris Johnson.

He got called on it right away by Emma Barnett

And is it a regular thing, like with Farage or Johnson?

He comes across as quite decent, though if he's a shill for Gove my opinion will change. I think Gove is awful.

I've put £20 on him @16/1. Don't really know much about him but lots of the others are unelectable to the public and when they have leadership elections the Tories always seem to pick outsiders going right back to Thatcher even.

One of the few acceptable faces of the Tory party these days, but even if he makes it to the final ballot, the party members will choose whichever hardline Brexiteer nutcase he’s up against, so sadly you’ve lost your twenty quid.

What a way to elect a new Prime Minister.
