Vinyl wrapped GT-R yesterday

Post by Steddyman » Wed May 29, 2019 10:33 am

As I was coming out of the long causeway into Burnley around 6pm last night, this brilliant Nissan GT-R vinyl wrapped in this silver pearlescent coating was turning in.

I’ve never seen anything like it. It looked incredible but had me wondering if it was a footballer that owned it.

I saw the same car around a week ago driving down Manchester Road from the Waggoners towards Burnley centre.

Yes. With oil slicks or pearls mixed in for good measure.

I have seen it parked up the road past the baths in Padiham several times, I suspect not a footballer.

A Nissan GT-R is no ordinary Nissan. A minimum of £80k new.

This isn't Ashely Barnes's next car.

I saw it on Padiham Road last week filling up at Texaco by Gawthorpe.

Sergio Ramos got out. But don't think there is anything in it as he is off to China I believe.

You will! Probably the best value performance car you can buy - Porsche, Ferrari and Lambo beating levels of performance for the price of a 3 series BMW. Sub 3 secs 0-60 and top end of just short of 200mph. An incredible piece of engineering and technology.

A friend of mine has one (I say friend, he's the dad of my step daughter and we get one really well) - he is looking to sell it because of the very high maintenance costs - serviced every 6000 miles or 6 months whichever is sooner - can cost upwards of £3500 if the brakes need changing (which they almost always will do unless you drive like miss daisy, but you dont have a car like that to drive like miss daisy do you!) He's lucky to get his services done at cost as his family run a garage, but it's still very expensive for "normal" everyday people.

In reality he's only marginally quicker than me in my (well my other half's - I drive a Civic ;) ) ST3 on a in real world conditions on normal road because its just not possible to use the full potential unless you're on a track.
