For what it’s worth I was in Newquay last weekend and we bumped into Joey and his brothers/family Friday and Saturday. He was leathered but happy to chat about his time at Burnley saying how much he loved it here.

I asked him why Newquay for his stag do and he said it was so it was to try and keep it low key. He was getting dragged from pillar to post posing for photos and all good.

Compare that to another load of scousers who were on a lads trip and the difference was black and white, or should I say blue and red.

I can’t comment on the beach incident as wasn’t there.

First reports I saw stated the other group started aggro with someone in Barton's group, rugby tackled him apparently and Barton's lot retaliated.

Neither side covered themselves in glory but it's Barton who the media are blaming it on by the looks of it.
